I am an oddly shaped mother of the groom, and was on a tight schedule. They treated me like I was royalty and made me look better than I have since I was 20. I would recommend these wonderful people without question. The seamstress is a master dressmaker and is able to do just about anything. They saved the day for me!!!

I submitted an official complaint to the BBB regarding Peggy's Bridal, which is currently being processed.
However, here is the same information regarding my concern.
A gown purchased at Peggy's for a Mother of the Bride arrived later than initially indicated and was not altered to satisfaction. The seamstress did not remove a large thread leftover from a bow that came attached and was then removed as part of the alteration. In addition, the measurements were significantly wrong for the body. For example, the special belt added to the dress was measured by the Mother of the Bride to be six inches too long (too big) around the waist after it was supposedly altered to fit. In contrast, the bust and torso were altered too small. The zipper barely zips.
I submitted photos of this evidence to Peggy's facebook email for their reference, and followed up with a phone call. I will be happy to share these photos publicly so potential customers may also see the poor quality of the work, should you have a concern of your own.
The customer service by Peggy's has been described as "abrasive," "uncooperative," "unhelpful" and "rude" by the Mother of the Bride and the Father of the Bride today as they attempted to resolve the alterations errors over the phone from the wedding city (out of New York state).
In conclusion: unsatisfactory service, lack of attention to detail, and poor alterations. The quality of the dress was fine until the alterations process began. The initial appeal of the store was very good to the Bride's family. When it came down to results, though, I do not recommend Peggy's.

Great Service! Excellent Alterations! I went to a few different bridal boutiques that were absolutely horrible but I never once received bad service from Peggy's. Our dresses all arrived on time, the alterations were done very well, and they were very flexible given my bridesmaids were all from out of town. I always recommend them to everyone.

They tell you on the phone that they welcome plus sized brides. But at the shop they don't have a SINGLE dress over size 10/12. So if you're even moderately average size or larger you're outta luck. You are basically to hold the dress up to yourself or try to squeeze into it and decide from that whether or not its "the dress". Then you pay about 2k plus for the dress and wait and pray and hope that it looks good on you after a few hundred to a thousand dollars in alterations. If it doesn't tough luck b/c you're stuck with it.
They say that they do this b/c they cannot afford to keep dresses in various sizes in stock. But they seem to be able to afford to lose business. So if you're not an ideal size skip Peggy's.

My sister ordered and paid for her wedding dress and had the same experience as reviewer E&A. She ordered her dress in September of LAST YEAR and as of today it is still not in! Her wedding is in just a few weeks! She also had a terrible experience with her sales representative and when she called to complain, she was given the run around and not allowed to speak with any kind of supervisor. I would NOT let any of my friends or relatives shop at Peggy's Bridal after my sister's experience there!!
