This bank has gone downhill since the pandemic.
Suddenly I get overdraft fees after they dont accept my checks, nor do they inform me that checks havent been accepted despite all parties endorsing the checks.
Ive been with SMCU for over 8 years, but now Im looking elsewhere.

If I could give this bank zero stars I would. Customer service is the worst Ive ever experienced at any bank. Everyone that works there is extremely rude and unprofessional. This bank has virtually no fraud protection and they do no care about their clients. Bank elsewhere!

Lost my checking account because it was overdue because I had an accident and even though I paid it back a few months later and 3 years later they still haven't gave me my checking back I just have a savings ATM card and the really didn't help with any loans so I had to go to a higher interest rate company and at least I don't miss there 30$ overcharge fees and there app is so out of date and can have trouble working with other apps like zelle

This is the worst bank ever i been member of this bank for 20 years and they are holding my personal check for weeks and i have bills i need to pay and when i have no funds when other trying to bill my debit from this bank they are charging me extra $30 for transaction you guys declined the charge and charging me 30 for it unlikely capital one which they pay me interest for putting my money there the problem with capital one is there is not much capital one branch so i keep some of money at this san mateo credit union and they said they will help you get a car i got decline twice and my apr is way so up i apply for capital one i got 2 car loan for capital one for less apr than when i apply for smcu car loan and smcu car loan they are not flexible with how much can they loan you if they said they can only loan you for 15k thats their maximum we gonna pay for it why not be flexible for the loan
