My name is David Pearce. I tried to purchase fuel from a gas pump at a 76 station on Wake Forest Road yesterday. The pump had malfunctioned. A few hours later I noticed my account had been charge $150 twice. 24 hours passed and my money was still not credited back to my account. With times like they are with people stealing your credit card numbers from the pump it had me extremely concerned. The store manager told me it was Cary oil company that I needed to speak to. So I called several times just to get recordings. Well I decided to drive to the main office and see what they could do to help. When I first arrived the secretary told me that they couldnt do anything and as I was about to leave another lady asked me what was wrong. I told her. She said have a seat and Ill try and help. So I waited a couple minutes. A man walked around the corner and introduced himself. His name was Mark Maddox President and CEO of Cary Oil Company. He showed me into a meeting room and asked me what had happened and I told him. He said give me a minute and Ill be right back. This man had me follow him to an ATM machine and he got $300 from his personal account and gave me. My wife and I were headed to Virginia for church this weekend and wouldnt have made it without that money. You dont come across men like Mr Maddox anymore!!! Thanks Mark for going above and beyond. I know you didnt have to do that but it speaks volumes of what you and your team do for your customers. Thank you sir !!!

I had an unpleasant and expensive mishap at a gas station supplied by Cary Oil. One of their execs called me and I was made whole. I appreciated how professional and friendly they were about a situation that really sucked. It wasn't Cary that caused the problem - it was the gas station - but they handled it well.
