Dr. Hixson tells you what you need to hear, whether or not you WANT to hear it. She inspired me to quit smoking back in 2005 by all but shaming me for the behavior. I needed that. Some may not appreciate Dr. Hixson's bedside manner, but adults should be hit with reality about their health. I've had 2 surgeries performed by Dr. Hixson and countless in-office procedures since 2004, including the "Essure" birth control implant. She is truly an expert in women's health. If you're looking for a no nonsense expert in the field of women's health, Dr. Hixson is a great choice. Her staff is absolutely amazing too!

Dr Hixson is one of the best dr in Columbus. She is so nice and experienced . I highly recommend this office and Dr. Hixson.

Carolyn has been treating my family for three generations and I totally disagree with the review posted here about Dr. Hixon. I recently had a exam after 10- 15 years of no visits. I recently had breast cancer and realized that I can no longer take for granted that there is nothing wrong with me. So the exam revealed that I had a female related problem that I had not idea about. I was very upset with myself for being so irresponsible with my life. Dr. Hixon was very kind to me and continued to tell me not to beat myself up over it. I found her to be gentle during the exam and biopsy . She was kind when I was pregnant with my daughter at age 42, wonderful to my daughter and mother always. I highly recommend this very experienced physician and surgeon as she has been practicing a very long time.
