image My experience with Dr. D guiding me through the process of lumpectomy surgery and working through complications was totally professional and I found her to be courteous, caring and excellent at explaining procedures to me. The staff was always polite, concerning and able to help me. If I needed to talk to them, they always returned my calls. I am totally happy with the care that I have and will continue to receive from Compass Oncology.

image I go in bi-yearly here to get iron infusions done and have been going to this location for a few years now. My experience at this Compass location has always been a good one. Front staff is always pleasant. I go to the chemo ward for my long infusions, and the nurses there are always answering inquiries, treating patients with respect, and seeing to the comfort of everyone in the treatment room. I see Dr. Gruenburg here, and he was willing to work with me to tailor a treatment plan to treat my chronic anemia that has arisen from illness complications. He listened to me and looked at the data, where as other doctors initially dismissed my issues that could have caused my body a great deal of harm.
I would recommend this treatment center to others.

image Compass Oncology It would seem that the office took personal offense to my feedback and cancelled my appointments without informing me. The scheduler seemed happy to inform me in person that indeed the manager took it upon himself to cancel my appointments. He was not in the office so I was unable to speak with him as to why he would take that action on a patient after they had a bad experience but it doesn't leave positive connotations.
I don't know where to begin with this because I have had a very strange experience with this office. In person they are fairly pleasant but their phone ettiquit is TERRIBLE (Except for Joe, who I presume to be a receptionist. His phone ettiquit is great.) I will be seeing them every 6 weeks for testing and I'll be posting a review after every visit. So this gets 1 star because the experience I have had so far reflects that. I saw them for testing in the past and all my results showed negative so, I with all my rights as a patient, decided to do testing in my PCP lab where it doesn't cost 100 dollars a pop. I received a call from someone in the office, which to me seemed random, as my PCP agreed to my plan. She sounded frustrated that I had not come back to their office for more testing so I explained to her the scenario and she told me that she was going to talk to Dr. Anderson and call me back. I never got a call back from her. I suffer from migraines and did some testing with my neurologist which had my PCP directing me back to their office. I call the office to talk about scheduling and coming back. The lady on the phone, I presume the scheduler argued that I had left their office, as if that meant I can not come back. She told me I needed to speak with the Nurse and transferred me with out saying a word, and I was directly thrown into a voicemail, I left a message and DID NOT GET A CALL BACK! I had to call again a few days later to try again to get an appointment and was lucky enough to speak with Joe who guided me through the call very pleasantly. This time I was able to speak with the Nurse Gail who told me I needed to have my doctor send my records again and scheduled to have me come in for a round of testing. I call my doctors office to find that-that is an odd request for a patient to have to do. The person in my PCP office was dumb founded as to why Compass did not contact them directly or even give me their fax number for the records to be sent to. Yet another awkward conversation due to the lack of phone ettiquit by Compass staff. I got my testing done, lab people are always very nice no complaints there. I call 3 business days later (5 regular days) to request that I go over the results with someone. Joe let's me know this has to come from Gail and offers me her voicemail. I leave a message and wait 2 business days without a call and decide to call again. I am told by Joe that the results are in but she is waiting for the doctor to review them and I leave another message. This time I do get a call and am treated like an annoyance, my questions are met with a tone that is shaming. I am told to schedule 5 more appointments with the scheduler and at the 4th one I will see the doctor. As I am working with the scheduler I tell her that Gail told me to see the doctor on the 4th visit to which she retorts that Gail did not say that and that I am to see the doctor on the 6th visit only for her to later realize in her notes that I am indeed to see him on the 4th visit. I get 0 apology for her mistake and for essentially calling me a liar.
