I only worked here for 2 weeks thank goodness but I can tell you it was the WORST, most toxic work environment Ive ever experienced. Gossipy/substandard management, backstabbing liar cook, understaffed, low pay, insufficient training, state laws broken, you name it. Out of all the jobs in North Portland I cannot believe I ended up with that one. Please, do yourself a favor and dont apply for work here.

We moved my parents into the assisted living wing of Harvest Homes. And even though its been a big life change, they are really enjoying their new apartment and are treated with excellent care. Candy, one of the administrators. has been so helpful in working our way through the process to meet requirements needed. She has always been so kind, caring, patient, & helpful with questions.
Also Rick was so helpful in getting their electronics connected and such. All the staff treat my aging parents with love, dignity, care, & respect from those at the front desk to the food servers and nurses. I cannot express how thankful I am to have my parents living where there is such excellent care. They give them the perfect mix of independence while looking out for their well being.
My parents love the home cooked meals and rave about the big portions and how good it tastes! It is so helpful that they deliver their medications to their apartment so they are never forgotten and are taken consistently at the right time.
They also have great activities. They love going to church on campus and walking around the beautiful garden area... makes them feel at home. My parents are now thriving in their new home. Thanks Harvest Homes for taking GREAT care of those we love so much!!

Terrible Dishonest Gossipy Management, its definitely who you blow ... I mean know to get a good position, if you want to go nowhere in your life, this is the job for you!
One good thing about working here is they will take almost anyone as an employee.
Tardiness and absenteeism are ignored (with a dock in pay) because its such a bad place to work they need to keep whoever is desperate enough to stay.
Aim high ... apply today!!

I've been working here for a little over a month & I absolutely love it! The staff is very friendly while at the same time, maintaining an unwavering level of professionalism. The residency itself is definitely one of the nicest A.L.F. I have ever seen. Its cozy & clean- it makes for an excellent home for your loved ones. Each resident lives in their own apartment, complete with a kitchen area that includes a microwave & small refrigerator, their own personal bathroom & a choice between a 1 bdrm or a studio. The ground level apartments are equipped with a sliding glass door that leads out to their own private patio. And they even welcome your pets! (Cats,birds, & most breed of dogs). The residence are the best part of all-as they are sweet & amazing!
