Customer service is poor. Want to purchase carpeting. No one around to help you. Finally get quote and was told could use coupon for 15% off. Guy comes to measure which home depot scheduled date.
Now get quote and home depot says coupon not honored. They give another quote which makes no sense. Called and they were to get back next day. No call back.
Went into store to speak to a manager. Waited 25 mins at service desk and manager was clueless about everything. There is no customer service here. They act like they don't care.

Cannot get anyone in flooring on the phone to purchase the carpet and schedule installation.

Tried to get a quote for Anderson windows for new construction. seems like nobody wants to help you, or if they do you feel like you're bothering them ( Portage, Mi)Moving on to a different retailer.

We ordered carpet from Home Depot on 4/1. They sent somebody out to measure who clearly did not know what he was doing. We called to verify they got the measurements and they said yes. 2 weeks later we never heard and they wouldn't return any phone calls, so we went into the store to check the status. They said that our order was on hold because of the measurements and that our carpet wouldn't be installed until the 29th, an entire month later. I do NOT recommend anybody buying carpet from this store. Their customer services department does not know how to provide customer service at all and they send inexperienced employees out to do the measurements.

My wife and I are selling my house, and we needed to lay a laminate floor. Talked to a guy at Home Depot, and he gives me a quick quote of 2200. Give or take a few hundred. 1.51 a sqf for the laminate, .25 a sqf for padding, and .89 a sqf for installation for 780 sqf of floor. Tells me that Monday I will have a gentlemen come out and measure. My wife stayed home all day, and no one showed up. I call to find out what's going on, and the store says I never scheduled a measurement. So, even though I was iritated I give them a second chance. Guy comes out Saturday, and says they will email you with the quote today. I wait until Monday at noon, and still nothing. So, I call the store, and the the rudest most arrogant member of staff gives me a quote of 5500. 5500!!! Really? I'm like that cannot be right, and he said yep that's what it is. So, I call back, and talk to the manager who was pleasant but knew nothing about flooring. So, we go over my quote, and they tried to charge me 2.75 a sqf to remove carpet. Really? I can remove my carpet in 2 hours. Again it's only 780 sqf. So, he adjusts the quote, and sends it to me. Again it's still a 1,000 more than the original quote. I call the quoting department, and they say that I changed the padding and I no longer qualify for .89 sqf installation. Now it's 1.99 a sqf because I went with the cheaper padding. The guy again was arrogant, and asked me what I wanted. I said I want it for 2300, and he said that just not possible. This was the worst customer experience I have EVER had. Home Depot you SUCK!
