I just want to thank the girls who helped me, at BIDH/Plymouth, while I was having an MRI.
They were all kind, encouraging and put me at ease. This really helped as I was nervous. Thanks to Maureen(admitting), Sharon & Rose

Our daughter was admitted to the Behavioral Unit waiting for a placement to McLean Hospital. She was going to McLean for medication management for Bipolar 1. During the five days she spent at BID, she was given the wrong dosage for lithium making her condition worse. Instead of 1050 milligrams they were giving her 105 milligrams.

If I could give a negative 5 review, I would. I have terminal cancer (breast cancer metastasized to spine and ribs). Had hours long bout of vomiting and diarrhea with what looked like blood in the last two events. It was middle of the night. I called the ambulance. When I got to BID they took me right into the waiting room. Two others were there. One had already been seen and was waiting for release paperwork. It took them 30 mins to do my vitals and check me in. Then the other waiting patient was called back by the doctor. Another patient came in and was seen within just a few minutes (looked like he needed stitches on his arm). I was then alone in the waiting room for almost two hours. For one of those hours, the reception person was nowhere to be found. When she returned I asked if she could give me an estimate. She swung the computer screen around and showed me a bunch of colored boxes. THIS is how busy we are! And there are no beds left in the whole hospital and we only have one doctor on!, she snapped. I said that I didnt need a hospital room, just a saline drip to rehydrate so Id stop vomiting. I was told to wait for the doctor. And they only had one, apparently. After another 20 minutes I decided to leave (it had been at least 3 hours and I was in a great deal of pain), so I signed the paperwork she gave me. At that time she said, ooppps! I forgot to give you your bracelet. I then had to wonder whether she also forgot to put in my paperwork to be seen. This place hires bafoons and is woefully understaffed at that. Ive been there twice, and at this point, Id rather die than ever return.
