I wouldn't personally hire this company. (This wasn't my choice). The interaction with the service person got pretty uncomfortable. I'll just say I made sure my husband was home for visit 2 and wouldn't have scheduled visit 2 without him there. Additionally, messes were left at our house both times, black soot smudged on our door, blue disposable gloves were dumped behind one of our bushes near the street under a pile of fireplace ashes and debris. On the side of our house, broken fireplace pieces were dumped into our yard trimmings can for some reason - but he kind of missed so there was a mess of broken fireplace all around the can on the ground as well. Our hose wand was removed to use the hose to make concrete and it was found broken in two. And then a mess of ashes and fireplace debris was left on the street in front of the house. Not sure if any of this is normal but it didn't seem like a nice thing for anyone to do to someone's property... it's almost like he didn't like us or something to leave so much damage and trash. Not a company I'd feel comfortable with inviting back to my home. Sorry for whatever we did to piss someone off.

Ramiro from Chimney Cricket arrived to inspect and clean gas fireplace. He was very professional, competent, and conscientious. He did a fantastic job cleaning and rearranging logs and setting up pan properly. Highly recommend him and Chimney Cricket. Arranged chimney cleaning and chimney cap installation, because we've had problems with birds getting in and getting stuck. They did clean the chimney, but didn't bring the chimney cap (which had already been paid for) and said they'd come back with it soon. It's been three months now. For awhile they kept saying that they were very busy and had our cap and would come by, but they never did. I'll just have to consider this a loss, since they took our money clearly don't intend on finishing the job. Three months is just inexcusable.

Fist of all, I dont know how this man named Don has good reviews? He came and I show the picture of my chimney, trying to explain what need to be done on my chimney repair, and he told me what to do, then ask me to pay $125 for estimate fee for not even go up on the roof to make sure whats problem on my chimney!? I remembered that he told on phone if we let him do the job, he will take away the estimate fee for the total cost, so I decided let him do the job, and he went up the roof and came down with a job description for total cost, and he need to collect the payment of $125 estimate fee at the time, we paid for it, he told me need about 1- 2 weeks to come back for the job, he needs to order part which need few days to get, after that day he never reply text to me, I called him couple times asking when can be back to do the job, he always told me that he already get the parts order, but he is very very busy, he need more time to find out the scheduling, or he is driving on the road told me he will call me back later, But ended up with no response..no call.. no text message! and I called him on third time he even told me he was sick for Covid need more time to rest, ok, fine ! I waited few days later which already two weeks from his first visit, I called him today and he ended up almost like yelling me on the phone saying that he doesnt interesting on my job, he changed mind already, he want referral me to another person for job!? ? And I asked him if he can refund me the fee $125 because is you dont want do the job, but he refused to make refund the fee! i cant believe for a man who told me he is 66 years old has been doing his business for 40 yrs who are still cheating on people?! dishonest with customer, cold response to his customer! $125 is not much money but make a life lesson! This is scam, stay away people, dont waste your time and money to such rude and dishonest business person, super disappointed with this bad experience! Service: Chimney repair & restoration
