By far the worst experience I have ever had with a used car dealership in 20 years of buying cars. I paid for a 2008 Altima Coupe 3.5 SE, and after 2 weeks of driving, the entire front end started to fall apart. During inspection by my body shop, they found that the front cover was fastened to the car with "twisty" ties and dry wall screws. Approx 8-10 clips were missing from the front cover, the retainer clips for the RT fender were missing, which was causing it to slide backwards and hang on the passenger door. The RT headlight was not HID, which comes standard on the 3.5 SE, but was rather a CCFL light that had been rigged with a cheap blue bulb (to make it look HID at night) and was held together with duct tape. Both the front Baffle Corners were pushed in from an obvious front end collision, and were not pulled out properly. Thus, causing the front cover to bow, and pop out on the corners. The LF side fender was shimmed out with washers so that it would line up properly with the front cover. Body fill was found in the hood, RT fender, RT quarter, and Apron Panel. The vehicle has obviously been in a MAJOR front end collision, which was never disclosed during the sale, and it miraculously has a "clean" title.
I contacted the dealership about all of issues. They admitted to painting the cover but claimed ignorance to all of the other issues, and very clearly stated..."You bought it AS IS" and totally refused to work with me at all. The fact that they admitted to painting the front cover (which was also painted the wrong color) means that they were 100% responsible for putting it back on the car without all the clips, and using the twisty ties and dry wall screws. It also means that they were fully aware of the pushed in Baffle Corners, and the fact that the front cover would not fit properly. Further more, after removing the front cover, it is blantantly obvious the the RT headlight was completely rigged up with bright orange tape, and was not and actual HID light. So they were fully aware of that as well. The most SHADY THING I HAVE EVER WITNESSED.
Do yourself a favor... do not buy anything from these con artists. I have pictures to prove everything that my body shop found, and am definitely pursuing further action.
