After 2 years of foot pain, a misdiagnosis by another doctor, weekly injections, numerous inserts, orthopedic shoes, and pending invasive surgery I went to Dr. Cowin to get a second opinion. I am so glad I did! He did laser surgery on my foot the next week and I got up and walked out of his office. I could drive the next day. My healing was quick and involved no hospital stay or downtime. I am back hiking and doing the things I love. I highly recommend that before anyone get invasive surgery for the foot to get an evaluation to see what the possibilities are with Dr Cowin. Good luck, and see you on the hiking trails!

Fast forward 4 years later: I have nerve damage still. My right foot big toe is in pain and I can't bend my toe like I use to. I am embarrassed of my toes more than ever. My big toe has been shortened and I'm not pleased about the big money I spent. Please don't alter your body, I definitely learned my lesson. The amount of pain you go through (which I know isn't due to them, it's the procedure) it's not worth it. Multiple nights of having to stay up due to the pain keeping me up (feels like my bones have just been crushed by a truck and all brused up feeling). I cried many nights of severe pain and then to get up to walk was so painful!!
Four years ago, when I got foot surgery and they were still extremely swollen and very much in pain: Excellent treatment provided by Dr. Cowin & Holly! As soon as you walk in you feel welcomed by the Dr. & his sweet staff. They explain thoroughly each step of the procedures being done multiple times. Treat you with gentleness and love. I felt safe in their hands and so should you!!

I was blessed to have the opportunity to meet Dr. Richard. After visiting other doctors that only offered me amputate my hammer toe. Dr Richard offered me a laser procedure with out amputation. He has a lot of experience and knowledge. He is kind and caring as well as his staff. Laser surgery was perfect with less pain, less swealing, fast healing. Dr. Richard thanks so much for save my toe!!!

The surgery went extremely well. It was much more satisfactory than previous bunion repairs. I walked out on my own with almost no pain and I did not need a crutch at all. This is where to go if you want it done right.

The experience with this doctor was less than pleasant. Firstly, upon attempting to schedule an appointment the scheduling staff were very pushy, and even after explaining I needed pre planning as my commute was more than an hour away, they continued to call me post scheduling to try and get me to come in early. Upon the day of my appointment, I had a family emergency where my child was in the hospital and I was unable to make the scheduled appointment. I called that morning and was treated very poorly. The staff on the phone informed me that they would not be rescheduling me and that I should, quote find another doctor. I have never encountered such a disappointing experience in my life and been told to find another doctor just because I had an unexpected life event. Mind you, this appointment was simply for a free consultation.
