One of the finest lawyers I have ever dealt with. Scott and his firm handled a very complex and contentious legal matter (divorce, custody and child support). His rates were very reasonable. He was very careful with how much he was billing me on the case. He was methodical and meticulous in his handling the deposition, mediation and trial. He explained the law to me in a way I was able to understand. He was well prepared and knowledgeable about my case. And, he achieved excellent results for me. I only have great things to say about Scott and the Schlegel Law Group!! He represented me for my long distance custody battle and although I was almost 2,000miles away their support was always a reassuring call text or email away. Their office clerk was always available and patient and helpful! William Cintron was employed there during my case and we had just the absolute sweetest! Scott is both determined and realistic. I love that he never sugar coated anything. He fully took into consideration the end result I desired and the parts where I was over reaching on he kindly explained to me the legal reality of what I was asking. His legal knowledge knows no bounds and anything he wasnt 100% sure on he immediately researched and only provided information he knew to be factual. I trusted him blindly and fully and I will never regret it.

If I could give Schlegal Law group less stars I would. Not only did I not get anything after spending about $14K, HE IS NOW TRYING TO CHARGE ME FOR THINGS BACK WHEN I FIRST STARTED THE CASE. IT SEEMS ODD BECAUSE WHEN I DID NOT HAVE MONEY TO SEND HIM OR EVEN PAY AN INVOICE ON TIME, WORK WOULD CEASE. NOW AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $4900 IS SHADY. MEANWHILE I PLACED $5 K IN A TRUST WHEN WE APPARENTLY WERE GOING TRIAL. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. HE PROMISED SOME TYPE OF PARENTING PLAN, THAT NEVER HAPPENED. WHEN I FIRST SPOKE TO HIM HE SOUNDED SINCERE AND VERY CONFIDENT OF WHAT HE DOES BUT NOTHING CAME OUT OF IT. WHAT I GOT FOR $14K WAS A PAYMENT PLAN OF $600 A MONTH. NOTHING ELSE. I COULD HAVE DONE THAT MYSELF. I WAS THE ONE WHO INITIATED EVERYTHING BUT IT SEEMED THE OPPOSING COUNCIL WAS 1 STEP AHEAD. WHEN HE FOUND OUT I HAD TAKEN A HELOC ON MY HOME, IS WHY HE IS CHARGING ME THE ADDITIONAL $4900 AFTER EVRYTHING WAS DONE. I HAD TO NOTIFY MY JOB AS THEY OR THE OPPOSING COUNCIL WERE TAKING THEIR TIME. SO HE DIDN'T EVEN DO THAT. WHEN I PUT THE $5K IN TRUST HE SAID THAT IS THAT SHOULD TAKE ME TO THE END AND WHATEVER IS LEFT OVER HE WOULD RETURN. I DIDN'T THINK I WOULD GET ANY BACK AND I WAS PREPARED FOR IT BUT AN ADDITONAL $4900 ONTOP IS SHOCKING. HE DID HELP OUT IN LETTING ME PAY THE INITIAL $3100 IN 2 PAYMENTS AND FOR THAT I AM GRATEFUL, BUT FOR HIM TO CHARGE ME ABUT $18K FOR NOTHING IS A BIT EXTREME. IT ALSO SEEMS NO ONE COMMUNICATES WITH EACH OTHER OVER THERE. IT SEEMS ON THE DAY WE HAD MEDIATION OR OTHER THINGS, HE WAS NOT WELL PREPARED AND A BIT CONFUSED ON CASES. I AM CURRENTLY TALKING TO AN ATTORNEY AND I HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH THE FLORIDA BAR. SCOTT CANNOT CONTINUE TO DO THINGS IN THIS WAY.

Today has been a phenomenal day because it concludes what has been a 2 year process for time sharing with my daughter. The opposing party in case wanted to give me as minimal time as possible and penalize me by over-inflating my income numbers. Scott and his team were able to successfully help me get almost 50/50 time sharing with my daughter and was able to properly demonstrate my numbers which resulted in a fair amount due for child support and almost equal time sharing.
To be honest, from the beginning I was very nervous throughout the entire process, but my best advice after completing this is to just simply trust Scott and his team! He has a very methodical process and does everything he does for an exact reason.
A valuable piece of information I can give to prospective clients is to know exactly what you want as a resolution and communicate that to Scott clearly. Everything else he does after that is to help best articulate your story, desires, and facts.
In conclusion, it worked out better than I imagined. Both parties in my case equally support the child and I am much happier that I get the time that I have been pursuing.
