image I have waited many months to write this review to ensure any anger/ pain would not persuade my writing. With that being said, I hate that Dr. Cain works here, because she is a good vet. However, Dr. Misty, the front desk staff, and the vet techs I can not express enough are horrible. I received a letter from Tigertown Vet Clinic that my miniature dachshund was due for his rabies vaccine and DHPP. I called and made an appt. In which I stated I was bringing him to get the vaccines I received a letter about. When placed in a room a vet tech came in and asked if he was getting the vaccines (whether she said DHPP or DHLPP I am not sure nor was I familiar with what the L would have stood for). Dr. Cain came in and wanted to show the staff in the back how cute Louie was, so she carried him back there and ended up giving him the vaccines while back there as well. As soon as she brought louie back, he began vomiting. Dr. Cain immediately stated its the lepto! To which I thought what is lepto?! She injected him and stated he was having an allergic reaction and that he would have to stay and be monitored for a few hours and that they would call if anything changed or worsened. I never called, not wanting to be annoying, but when I arrived a few hours later his face had been completely swollen up. They then told me it would be $270. I stated that I didnt feel it was fair I had to pay for this as I didnt even give them the okay for them to give him the lepto vaccine. The front desk worker got very aggressive and hollered to Dr. Misty that I had an issue and needed to be spoke to. Dr. Misty then told me that I had given them permission to give the vaccine by making the appt. Which I still dont agree with as my paper said he needed the DHPP and rabies vaccine. I reluctantly paid the $270. When I got home I knew louie was not right and he began pooping blood. I got in contact with a vet I know and she told me to rush him to emergency care. I flew to Montgomery and upon arrival the vet there said and I quote who in their right mind would give this baby lepto. Louie was in GI anaphylactic shock and was very close to death. He was severely dehydrated and the vet was confused how Tigertown didnt noticed this. He stayed there over night and majority of the next day and I then owed another $1100. My mom eagerly waited to call Tigertown the next morning to which the front desk told her dr. Misty is not here yet call back in an hour and then when she called back it was dr. Misty is in surgery and then when she called again and asked the front desk lady straight up hung up on my mom. Finally we got in touch with Dr. Misty and she was extremely rude and said she would call the vet in Montgomery and get details of the incident and call us back. When she called us back her personality had completely changed, knowing she sent home a dog that almost died. She filed with the lepto company and we were able to get the emergency vet bill refunded, but never was refunded by Tigertown. I have spoke to other people who have had an allergic reaction from a vaccine and the vet not charge them a dime. Dr. Misty is not in the business bc she loves animals and enjoys caring for people, and that is a fact. Dr. Misty seemed to be very genuine later on and had me feel like she truly cared, so a couple of days later louie began throwing up and out of fear I called Tigertown to talk to dr. Misty. I informed them what was happening and that I wanted to see if dr. Misty would talk to me, to which I NEVER received a call back. To me, this speaks volumes. If you love your pets, I would take them elsewhere.

Business Response on Google Nov 27th, 2023
Here at Tigertown Veterinary Hospital we strive to practice high quality, current, scientific based medicine that exceeds the standard of care recommended by the American Animal Hospital Association. Our core vaccines are chosen based on scientific data for risk factors, not antiquated beliefs. Leptospirosis is a life threatening bacterial disease that is zoonotic, meaning transmissible to humans. It is found in lakes, rivers and puddles, and more so in highly populated areas such as dog parks and communal walking areas like those designated at apartment complexes. On 6/5/2023 your pet was presented for his yearly vaccinations. As was discussed by our licensed technician and agreed upon by yourself, it was deemed that your pet was to receive vaccinations against distemper, parvovirus, leptospirosis (4 serovars), adenovirus, parainfluenza, Rabies, and Bordetella. Also, he was to be tested for intestinal parasites and heartworm disease. Unfortunately, your pet was a part of the very small percentage to experience an adverse reaction to one of the vaccines. Thankfully, this was immediately recognized and treated in accordance with the Standard of Care. Upon release, he was hydrated, wagging his tail and eating treats. You were advised that he needed further treatment that evening and to monitor for clinical signs of a relapse. Again, unfortunately, he did experience relapse and require more medical care, to which he responded well (per the ER). On 6/6/2023, you proceeded to verbally abuse and threaten legal actions upon the doctor and support staff as well as to cancel payment for all services. Your case was reported to the vaccine manufacturer, as is considered due diligence, by Dr. Misty on 6/6/23. Upon filing the report, the manufacturer disclosed that they understand the financial constraints an adverse reaction can cause, therefore had established a "Good Faith" fund. Dr. Misty took it upon herself to file all the medical records from Tigertown, as well as obtain the records from the emergency visit in order to see if you qualified for reimbursement under this Good Faith program. Dr. Misty was able to obtain a near full reimbursement for your emergency visit. Sadly, due to the abusive, threatening behavior and harassing calls, it was advised that we should terminate the veterinary client patient relationship. You proceeded to request veterinary advice/care a week later. This request was denied immediately via email, and we advised you to seek veterinary care immediately if your pet was ill. We offered to forward all records to the clinic of your choice. There was no request or further communication from you.

image I cannot put into words how much care they show their patients. Our border collie Maicee is a regular patient but today I brought in a rescue on zero notice or appointment and they worked him in. You could not even touch this puppy and Dr Carroll took her time(that she didnt have to do) and just sat in the floor with the puppy for what had to be 30 minutes, just trying to get the pup just comfortable enough to even examine him. The staff eventually got the puppy comfortable enough to do a couple things with and set up a follow up appointment for Thursday. Only that when we got home we found some blood on him and I called Tigertown veterinary Hospital and they had me bring him right back up there. They went above and beyond, if I could give 10 stars I would

image I chose Tigertown Veterinary Hospital to help me with the end of life services for my nearly 15 year old German Shepherd. The care and attention that she received from the vet and the techs was outstanding and solidified that my decision to choose them was the right one. Everyone was absolutely amazing and they make the hardest decision for me a little easier and let me know it was the best decision for her. I cannot thank our Vet and techs for the heart felt appointments and words. After her procedure, we chose to have her cremated and her ashes returned, and as a beautiful gesture, one of the techs created a paw print ornament for us. A few weeks later I received a card in the mail with all their condolences and was very appreciative of all the continued support. Thank you for giving Sadie a dignified and beautiful crossing over the rainbow bridge.
