We have been in our house for 2 years and are STILL waiting for all of our warranty work to be completed. All of the other reviews are spot on. They wont respond to emails or phone calls and you have to call the Contractors yourself to get anything done. Their Contract states they are supposed to fix these issues in a certain time frame. I feel at this point a class action suit against them needs to be started. Stay away from all BHI homes or anything built by this family

Do not get caught up in their warranty. If you build a house with BHI make sure you get your own private home inspection in multiple stages of the build. We will never build with BHI on any of their models. They do NOT standby their 12mo warranty, absolutely the worst!

No major complaints about the home itself but whoever built the deck for them was either drunk or in a hurry. There is no center stringer on my 42" wide deck stairs so I walk near the edges when I use those stairs so as not to fall through. They also completely neglected to secure the middle top rail support, it was literally just a beam sat loosely in a slot. I had to go get a 14" long drill bit and my own carriage bolts to bolt the support down. Who ever did that deck should never build another deck in their life time. As many others have said the BHI warranty is a complete joke as they have no interest in fixing anything. If you are not going to even attempt to honor a warranty then stop offering one, at least that way people won't have an expectation of BHI fixing anything.
