I love this temple and community. When I first came to Makom 30ish years ago, I knew almost nothing about my Jewish heritage. At Makom services, for the first time, I felt a spiritual connection. I felt my heart and soul open in a new way.  I developed life-long friendships. Together we sing, pray, schmooze, study, wrestle with ethical dilemmas and grow. This community has helped me find more love and meaning in my life.

Makom Ohr Shalom was the first temple where I felt spiritually connected. I have developed life-long friendships here. Each week in services we sing, learn, contemplate, pray, dive into Torah and wrestle with the questions of how to live more meaningful, connected and ethical lives. This community lifts me spiritually and heals my heart and soul.
