As you can see, there are a lot of very good hardwood floor installers in Los Angeles. What makes LA Hardwood Floors a cut above is the office manager, Desiree Lopez. She is super organized, very skilled at communicating, and took great trouble to adjust the schedule to fit our needs (replacing floors in a house in Silverlake). People and parts (oak flooring) showed up when they were supposed to. They did the job as promised, and this is all I ask for from any craftsperson. Would use again.

We needed some last minute extra pieces of laminate to replace damaged flooring; Desiree was amazing!! She helped get us the material same-day, waiting pick up at Republic's will-call. A total lifesaver...

I'm going to give a factual and extremely fair review:
I had two homes done, both had about 3-5 installation issues each (no transition pieces/broken/not secured, warped boards, visible gaps in front of moldings, stair nosings loosely installed, minor gaps between a few boards). HOWEVER, Camilo did send his team back and address these issues free of charge, but not all of them were done very cleanly.
Then, some boards starting warping again 6-8 months after installation which is where I have even more issues with their professionalism: one part of the board warping was absolutely due to water damage and not their fault, but they tried to piggy back the OTHER section into this rationale which is total BS and they also tried to exaggerate on my houses' overall moisture content to claim that was the issue. Additionally, they ripped up my floor boards and left them there exposed after sending me all of this nonsense after they said they wouldn't "leave it like that." Lastly, there was a previous board issue that was splitting which they fixed sloppily as well and I asked them to take look at but they never did.
Bottom line is I got a great deal but I also got what I paid for: a sloppy overall job. Camilo is not necessarily a bad guy, but for whatever reason his team had a really rough/hard time with my project and left me pretty dissatisfied. Desiree was great and his team are nice enough but they can't say with a clear conscience that my job was done well.
