I really wish that I had read the most recent by Jules before committing to this company for services. I initially had a toilet leak and that gentleman informed me about the damage to the floor underneath. He was the one that recommended Flood Masters to me. I called and Q was very pushy in trying to secure the contract. However, at the time I assumed he was trying to rectify my problem quickly. He told me that his team would come out to give me a quote before proceeding. His team arrived at the same time he was calling to collect my deductible. I was very confused and overwhelmed with this being my first experience. Michelle could see the stress on my face and she slowed things down to explain everything to me. Michelle and her partner ripped up a portion of the tile in the bathroom, cut a hole in the ceiling, and set up their fans. The next day when I came home from work, I had to call the company because there was water pouring from the ceiling. I put down buckets to collect the water until they sent someone from their team to turn off the water & cap the hoses. He also set up another fan. A few days later someone came out and told me the process was complete. She told me I can now find someone to complete the repairs. I was extremely confused because I was informed by Q and Michelle that Flood Masters would take care of the dry out & the repairs. However, I was left with an unusable bathroom, a hole in my ceiling, and water damage on the carpet. The nightmare doesn't end there! I then begin to get phone calls and emails from Amy to collect payment from my insurance company. When I attempted to make payment over the phone, she proceeded to tell me that there's a 4.5% processing fee for credit/debit cards. Amy then told me the only other option was to physically come to my house to pick up a check. I asked if I could pay with an electronic check to avoid the processing fee and she said no. I also asked her if she informed my insurance company of their 4.5% processing fee and she said no. From beginning to end I was not impressed by this company and most definitely won't be recommending them to anyone!!!!
