image Never again! I should've gone back with North American, much better experience. This was def not a great moving experience!
I will have to say my only POSITIVE experience has been my moving consultant Brian U! He's been AMAZING!
I was given a pickup time from 9-11am. I had to reach out to my move coordinator @11 to find out when the drivers were showing up, she knew nothing. This was the 2nd coordinator i asked for because the 1st one was very unprofessional in her email responses. Anyways, I never heard back from her. That's the purpose of a coordinator to communicate throughout the process, and to follow up afterwards. The movers showed up around 12ish... long story short it took them 5hrs to move a 1 bedroom apt! Unbelievable!
The weight was actually less than what I was quoted which means it should've been a speedier process.
For clarification, I had everything boxed up ready to go, and the move was all elevators! I had a queen platform bed to breakdown and maybe 3 other furniture pieces (but it was only legs to be removed) they were moving like snails as if time was not important for them. I have never hired movers that took that long for such small space!
Let's just hope that once my items arrive in TX all will be ok! I'll never hire this company again.

image I decided to choose Allied-Coleman, encouraged in part by the knowledge that people often share negative experiences more frequently than positive ones. With an open mind, I embarked on this journey, hoping for the best but prepared for challenges.
What Impressed Me:
The claims process was notably efficient. I found that compensation was handled swiftly and without unnecessary delay.
What Went Wrong:
Unexpectedly, my move was canceled on the scheduled day, causing significant disruption to my plans.
The move was outsourced multiple times, leading to confusion and a lack of accountability. (First to North-American, then to Motherload.)
Promises of finding an alternative driver within 24-48 hours went unfulfilled, requiring me to take an active role in ensuring the move's progress.
My salesperson Brian at Allied-Coleman, though initially seeming accessible, was regrettably unresponsive, with follow-ups taking anywhere from 24 to 72 hours. If they occurred at all.
The physical handling of my belongings was disappointing, with damages necessitating nearly $5,000 in compensation on a $6,000 move.
The lack of follow-through from my salesperson, Brian, and an unclear role of my move coordinator left me feeling unsupported. I am actually not sure what the coordinated since I did all the coordinating myself.
Encounters with staff, including what I believe was the warehouse manager, Jason, were less than satisfactory, marked by rudeness and a lack of assistance.
Despite repeated assurances during the sales process, there was no direct communication from the driver regarding the scheduling of delivery or confirmation of item pickup; awareness of the move's progress was only achieved tracking an AirTag. Furthermore, on delivery day, the driver arrived with only one assistant, significantly hampering the efficiency and ease of moving items into my residence.
The condition of some items upon arrival, including boxes chewed through by rodents, highlighted concerns with storage. Droppings were also left in my boxes.
A significant oversight occurred with the crating of a particular item; my move coordinator did not inform me that it was my responsibility to arrange for someone at the delivery destination to uncrate it. This lack of communication led to unnecessary delays, as I waited in expectation for a follow-up that was never planned.
Communication and coordination were significant issues throughout the process, with commitments for follow-up often unmet.
In reflection, while Allied-Coleman presents itself as a smooth operator in the moving industry, my experience underscores the reality of navigating such a complex process. It was disheartening to find that the support promised at every stage was lacking, leaving me to manage much of the move single-handedly.
My move coordinator mentioned being overwhelmed, a sentiment that perhaps explains some of the challenges, but also highlights a broader issue of resource allocation within the company.
My experience with Allied-Coleman was profoundly disappointing, compelling me to state that I would not choose their services again. Each phase of the processfrom initial coordination to the final executionfell short of expectations. Interactions with various employees (Jason, Brian, Jekia, and Tianna) consistently failed to meet the professional standards and support one would anticipate from a company of their standing.
