image I concur with with a lot of these reviews. I have encountered nothing but unpleasant people and random charges on my bill every month, such as my container lid being up. I also recieved a charge called relocate bin, I don't even know what that means. It never ends, every month it's something and there is no way to dispute their drivers claims. My husband even tried to approach a driver and ask them something and he was basically yelled at.

We're truly sorry you've experienced negative encounters with our business. That's not what we strive for at all. I'm sorry your husband was yelled at and we'll be talking to the drivers about that behavior. We'd be happy to send you a published schedule of our rates, which includes the lid up and relocate fee or you can find it on our website. If you call our office when you incur these fees, we usually waive the first-time it happens and at the same time it gives a chance to explain the fee. We have cameras mounted on all of our trucks and only charge when we have photo documentation. The reasoning behind those charges is we strive for route efficiency and employee health (so their bodies are able to work all the way until retirement) through our automated process. When a cart is in a location where the driver has to get out to reposition to get the automated arms around it, or if there's extra garbage that will fly out because the lid is up they get out to manually dump it as well. image Our drivers are always going above and beyond. Our neighborhood has bears and it's just so frustrating when they get into the garbage, so several of us have to lock our cans. It's not the bears fault, but it's still messy. The crew have to get out and spend several minutes tending to our streets. They are always smiling and taking this added stress with a positive attitude. So grateful for them.
The coast life isn't as easy as it is beautiful. There are massive logistics to living here and we are cleaner (and prettier) because of Thompsons.
Also, Thompson Sanitation have a great app. I find it really helpful. Lots of good information.
This business is a great asset to our community. Keep up the great work. I appreciate you!
