Great place, awesome location. Excellent hosts. We were in the Yaquina room which has a great view of Agate Beach. We will definitely stay here again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the charming Tyee Lodge, and it was an experience to remember. The lodge boasts a stunning location with breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding forest, creating a serene and picturesque ambiance that is simply beautiful.
I will preface this review by adding that the Tyee Lodge has a new owner and is under new management. I didnt understand why new reviews were scarce prior to booking.
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The lodge's attention to detail and rustic charm added to the overall charm of the place, making it a perfect retreat for relaxation and tranquility.
The accommodations were comfortable and well-appointed, providing everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Waking up to the sight of the ocean and listening to the sounds of the waves breaking as we fell asleep was truly rejuvenating.
The highlights of my stay included having the place all to ourselves, as we rented both Viewpoint and Lighthouse rooms; soaking in the panoramic views while indulging in delicious brekkies prepared by the talented chef. The combination of good food and scenic surroundings made each morning a delightful experience.
The sheets and towels were spotless and the beds were comfortable, more so than the beds wed slept on the previous night at the Marriott.
Overall, my time at Tyee Lodge was nothing short of wonderful. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with stunning views and good hospitality.
Rooms: The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, water pressure is strong, and the water is hot. The heater in the bathroom was a bonus, as it was cold and rainy during our stay.
Nearby activities: Yaquina head lighthouse and outstanding area less than a minute drive away.
Safety: Free, private parking for guests only, located just outside the front door of the house.
Noteworthy details: The home has private trail access to the beach. Beware of Wolverines at sunset.

This was the PERFECT location! Down a quiet street, outside of the historic downtown of Newport, OR. It had an amazing view of the coast and you could walk down to the beach and walk forever next to the ocean. From check-in to leaving, we felt that every detail was well thought out. There is not a room that they have that does not have an AWESOME view. Big windows in each room where you can watch and hear the ocean. The room had a gas fireplace and since the evenings are cool, it was such a nice touch to have this fireplace not only for a little warmth, but it really made it romantic. Dee was such a wonderful host, she got us wine and was available for anything that we needed. The whole place was impeccable and we felt so comfortable with everything even with this COVID thing going on. Breakfast was delicious and since COVID we were served by Dee with a tray brought to our room. Fresh flowers were on our tray. We had a croissant egg which, homemade granola with yogurt and fresh fruit...YUMMY! The property was beautiful, it was up on a high hill, among the trees overlooking the ocean. So peaceful. We definitely recommend this B&B and Dee has thought of everything. Loved our stay and will be back!
