The woman who rang up our items made a mistake with the calculation and refused to recalculate it. The final results seemed suspicious to us, but when we questioned her she got defensive and didn’t want to ring up the items again. It wasn’t a big deal, so we decided to just pay anyway, but then we discovered that there was an additional charge to using a credit card. She never told us that. She got defensive again and claimed that there was a sign, but when she realized there wasn’t a sign, she simply said that everyone should just know automatically that there are additional charges with credit cards. When we pressed back, she shrugged and said that we could come back and complain to her manager in an hour if we wanted.
