I had Optimum for a long time and when Spectrum was available in my area I called in. They were able to get my early termination fees covered and my price is locked in for 2 years which is nice for the peace of mind. I don't share the same experience as some of these bad reviews. The Rep I spoke to was patient and made sure I got the best deal in my area

Called in to see if I could save some money and to my surprise they offered to cover my last provider's contract fees and switching over was very simple. We're paying less now than we ever have before and the service is stronger than what we had before

Increase your bill without user consent and always fish you by saying you can call back for a discount. Don't believe in them. They will not offer you a discount if you are an existing client.

Moved to new city last year. I returned my internet router and they added one to my account, saying I had two routers. Why would I have two routers? So they charged me 59.99 and never returned it to me like they said they would. I have mail forwarding and never got the check.
I believe they might be charging people who move and just never return their bill. Looking up past accounts becomes time consuming. Everytime I call it takes 20 minutes for the customer service rep to understand what's happening.
I would never use spectrum again. Thieves.
