Overjoyed with the level of service! Speedy, friendly, personalized, great attention to detail, consistent communication and thorough follow up.
I wanted to get my 95 year grandpa a chair for Christmas. I had no idea of how to accomplish this but I knew that it had to happen. My mom and I lived thousands of miles away from my grandpa so it was not like we could just bring it over. The process of selecting a chair took a while. We looked at some chairs locally and called the wholesaler who directed us to Gem Wheelchair & Scooter Service.
Now it is like December 14th the first time I talk to Jeff at Gem. I tell him all about our quest to get grandpa this chair and how we wanted it to be a surprise. Jeff was awesome! He was like we dont have the chair at the moment but we can get it ordered right away. I also had concerns about getting everything set up for grandpa and Jeff assured me that they take care of all of that. After we went over all of the details, including the price which was better than any of the prices I had seen online and on the most up to date model with the heating feature, plus they were going to deliver and set it up for grandpa while keeping it all a surprise. I had brief discussion with my mom and we decided to make the purchase. We felt good about our decision. We knew that it may not arrive by Christmas which was okay. We were just happy that grandpa was going to surprised with this awesome new chair.
Then to our utter surprise Jeff calls a few days later saying the chair was arriving and could be delivered the next day. My mom and I were overjoyed! Jeff hooked me up with Danny, the delivery driver, and relayed all the information about the chair being a gift and a surprise. Jeff arranged it so Danny would call me when he was on his way so I could have some time to get my grandpa on Skype. Then Danny called me when he was at the house. He even parked around the corner to not give away the surprise. It was absolutely amazing! My mom and I got to see my grandpas face as he realized what was happening. The look of excitement as the chair started to be assembled. Danny was phenomenal! He did not give away the surprise. He engaged with my grandpa in a very friendly and respectful way. He took the time to show grandpa how to use the remote for the chair. He even hauled away the old chair.
The look of delight on my grandpas face when he sat on the chair for the first time was priceless! Thank Jeff, Danny and Gem for making this the best Christmas ever! You all are miracle workers!
