New York Information Guide

The state of Tennessee is located in the southern part of the United States.  It is ranked 17th in the U.S. with a population of nearly 6,000,000 people.  The state capital of Tennessee is Nashville. Memphis is the city where most southerners live .  The state is pretty well known for being split into three sectors.  Unlike most states, Tennesse is split into Eastern, Middle, and Western locations due to its geography and laws under the constitution.  Even though one might assume there isn't much to do here in terms of vacationing, there's a lot of geographic landmarks to see.

Tennessee is split into 6 physiographic regions and is home to the most recorded caves than anywhere else in the United States.  Statistically, there are more than 8,000 caves located amongst the state and these landmarks help give character to Tennessee as we know it today.  Every state has something that makes it stand out from another and with Tennessee being the number one location for caves, the geographical presence is definitely well known.  For those residents who already reside here, whether living in Nashville, Memphis, or another town - all the residents are known as "Tennessean's."  When looking at Tennessee from a geographical standpoint and being located in the south, the statistics of the state rank them in the middle.  One particular statistic would be the density of the state which ranks 19th.
