Have enjoyed this experience for over 30 years.After the festivities and celebrations of the holidays it's a quiet, peaceful,secluded retreat. However ,within a short distance there are attractions, fine restaurants, museums, and fascinating historic sites
Nearby activities: Many fun and historic areas in New Bern, Beaufort, Jacksonville,- a short ferry ride to Lighthouses and the wild horses of Carrot Island .

We were at this resort at Fairfield Harbor for 4 nights in October 2023. The 2 bedroom at Unit 3704 was a wreck and We would never ever recommend it to anyone!!! Worst Wyndham resort we have ever stayed in!!! Bugs in small bath near the front entrance, a dead tree at the front entrance that had been dead for some time, two sofa's dating back to the 1940's with plywood under the cushions to keep you from falling to the floor, sliding door in the back that would not lock, lots of water near the front entrance from the air conditioning unit leaking, light fixtures etc out on the back deck and out front that were broken, outside trim work was absolutely awful, tape holding down the carpet to keep you from tripping, and on and on... Do yourself a favor and skip this train wreck! We wasted our points and would hope that someone at Wyndham would see this and credit our points! So much for our family visit here!!! We learned at the last minute that RCI was managing it, and we have had bad experinces dealing with them in the past!! This place should be demolished!!!!
