Called for a price on Zappit 73 chlorine today and got a price quoted to me on the phone for a 25lb bucket @ $79. I show up an hour later and the girl tells me 'Mark' (I assume the manager/owner?) 30 minutes ago, walked in and jacked up the price to $89. I'm out, so I had to buy it after driving an hour to get there. Lost me as a future customer tho. I'm going to contact the state's AG office to since there is supposedly a shortage and see if this is considered price gouging.

I have purchased pool chemicals from this store for years. They are local with good hours and nice people. I have also recently been shopping spas at the store. I called today for pool heater service and was told it would be two weeks (ok it’s a busy time of year) but I would also have to leave my credit card on file. I asked if they could just charge me the day of service since all the security experts caution against leaving cards on file with vendors. As it turns out, no card on file, no service at Village Pools. It all worked out for the better. I called another company and they are coming by late today with the part. It is a simple repair they said. Also they have spas that I can look at.
