I am very displeased with this unit and sorry we purchased
Since we purchased 2017 we experienced a problem with the exhaust and intake lines possibly due to the installation by the plumber that sold and installed.
Last year we had another issue with a switch value malfunction and a costly repair
This year as I am writing we are experiencing a water leak coming from the base of the unit on the hot and cold water only when using the hot water in the house not the heating system
So every year we have had nothing but problems and further expenses to repair
So good luck if you are thinking of buying one

BAD product. This product needs to be reported to authorities for worst quality. Installed Combi boiler/heater since 2014, but heater never works reliably. Every winter it has an issues.

Rude people, bad product. Customer service was infuriating. We had our plumber come out 5 times to fix a brand new unit and he only called Navien 2 of those times, so they wanted to try to continue to troubleshoot instead of replacing the unit. This was over the course of a month where I had multiple days with a cold shower. If a product is a lemon, just do the right thing and replace it instead of fighting a customer. Jeff was rude to me saying "there was nothing they could do", and then magically, they did indeed decide to replace it after multiple calls and me basically crying. No one wants a cold shower for a month!

I have had a navien combi boiler since December of 2014. In 4 shorts years the boiler has broken 4 times (all just outside the 1 year warranty of course) 3 parts internally have had to be replaced at my expense ($2,750 and counting). Each time I call Navien they say maybe you water is hard (it isnt) then the plumbing might be wrong (It was installed by a licensed plumber). As of today May 1st 2019 I woke again to the boiler leaking internally, only now I notice the whole bottom of the boiler is rusted, every joing inside the boiler is rusted and again I have to have a plumber at my expense come and look at it and speak with Navien to get an answer. I repeatedly have asked for a new unit as this one is clear defective. I am hoping after they ahve said no for 2 years, they will eventually say yes and replace it. Take note of all the warnings, the boiler works fine for 13 months and then you have major, major issues. No one should have to deal with this.

Poor customer service at this store. My Navien water heater broke. It needed a part replacement. They had the part in stock but wouldn't sell it to me because it was reserved for warranty repairs. So I had to purchase if from somewhere else and wait with no hot water while it was shipped across the country.
