SUGGESTION: Add a feature to your website that alerts customers of a broken kiosk so we can stop driving all the way out there for no reason
UPDATE 2/10/ 2024 VISITED THE SMALL BUSINESS NIGHTMARE AGAIN, YEP KIOSK IS BROKEN. So i went to prattville, guess what the screen read " currently unavailable", so i drove to Millbrook because online it mentioned that there was a self service kiosk. NOPE!!! 3 POST OFFICES LATER I WENT HOME WITH MY SMALL BUSINESS PACKAGES. I need to look into other couriers. USPS is a huge let down. Updated 2/9/2024 I don't update as much as i need to so don't think that the in between times mean that the kiosks were working. THEY WERENT. Went today and tried to hold my breath and wish upon a star that the USPS on winton blount wouldn't let me down, but OF COURSE it didn't work. There was a message on the screen that read " Please excuse our progress". Uh, what progress. This, as mentioned before is a SMALL BUSINESS NIGHTMARE.
Update 9.1.2023 kiosk been down 2 days. If you have a small business don't trust this post office !!! Their kiosk never works after hours.
UPDATE #3. ITS 7/5/2023 MACHINE IS DOWN AGAIN. IM SO SERIOUS ITS RIDICULOUS. ALMOST EVERY EVENING NOW ITS DOWN. WHY DONT THEY CHECK THE MACHINE BEFORE THEY LEAVE FOR THE DAY. This is supposed to be a business. You can not properly operate your own business because their business isn't reliable. I need to just useFedEx, oranother carrier cause the USPS on winton blount isn't reliable. I'll have to drive to Prattville alabama. Or start using another dependable carrier since this isn't one.
UPDATE #2: This post office started to do better then here it goes again. Machine is down. It had updated to ask you if you needed a receipt then this way it would still work. Here it is day 2 and the machine still reads that it's currently unavailable. At this point it's ridiculous, just get a second kiosk. I know the past few years made yall enough money to get another machine.
UPDATE: Here we are a whole year later and I'm still let down by this distribution center.. kiosk is ALWAYS out of paper, I contacted the post master via email,, of course I didn't get a reply. I just don't know what to do other than leave a review with the actual center and post pics here online of it being out AGAIN. Their self service is ALWAYS down. Even during business hours and when you let someone know they literally get a attitude. A very nonchalant attitude and shrug their shoulders and say "oh ok". I dont understand why even late night, or evenings its down. I ship roughly 37 packages every week but cant make it until after they close and the machine is ALWAYS down.

Place is a dump and they were closed for a 2 hour lunch break apparently.
Kiosk was down and zero supplies out for customers use.

Nothing special. Its a post office. However, we made a special trip to this branch (30 minute drive) to complete passport process for our three children. Despite clear language on the website that while there are no appointment hours on Saturday, but they accept walk-ins from 9:00 - 12:00, we were not seen at 9:30. While waiting in line, the passport clerk repeatedly complained about the line on Saturday morning because he wanted to eat his breakfast. When reaching the window, we were informed that while the walk-in language was clear, its like McDonalds. That doesnt apply at all locations. I guess passport clerks can choose if they want to follow Post Office guidelines/procedure or not. Dont count on the Winton Blount branch to provide listed services.
