Dear Stephanie,We apologize that your experience with Carefree has not met your expectations. It is not our intention to make our customers wait any longer than is necessary for us to complete their service, however, as was explained in our conversation this morning, our policy of holding spring start-ups on the Kankakee river until after May 31 was instituted at the beginning of 2022 and exists for the safety of our employees. An overwhelming majority of our customers on the river are understanding and appreciative of that policy. When you originally called to schedule, we made a mistake and scheduled your service prior to May 31. We called back to apologize and attempted to correct our mistake, which prompted our discussion. I understand your frustration, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Since that policy has been in place, we have completed your spring start-up in July of 2022, and June of 2023, and there are no complaints logged regarding those dates. In the time since the irrigation system was installed at your address in 2004, we have completed the spring start up after June 1 on five occasions (2008, ’16, ’17, ’22, and ’23) without issue regarding dates. Concerning your pump, since your system was installed in October of 2004, our records indicate one instance of a pump being replaced; in June of 2023. At that time, there was no complaint logged, simply a request to replace the pump. There are records from 2022 that indicate a difficulty priming the pump, which was ultimately solved by our technicians extending the suction line further into the river. Dear G Block,We apologize for any misunderstanding. We make every effort to be thorough and informative with all of our customers, and as such record all incoming and outgoing calls for quality and training purposes. Upon reviewing the recording, the original call, which came in on October 9, 2023, was to schedule sprinkler system winterization. During that call, the male caller was asked by our representative if the water was turned off to the system. The response was, “I’ll turn it off tonight.” Near the end of the call, the caller asked, “how far out should I expect you?”, to which our representative very clearly told the caller that we would be out “any day in the next 2 to 3 weeks”. At no time during the call did our representative state that we were booked, or that it would take 2 weeks to complete the winterization. Ultimately, we were able to get your residence on the schedule for the next day, and did so because we were told the water would be off to the system. The additional $35 on your invoice was incurred due to our deploying a vehicle and manpower to your home, and having to reschedule the service, as the water was indeed still on. We also left a voice message, at the phone number on file, in response to an inquiry of this fee in November 2023, to which we received no reply.We sincerely regret that your experience with Carefree did not meet expectations, and appreciate your patronage and feedback.

Hi Jason,We are sorry to see your experience with Carefree prompted a 1-star review. After reviewing your account it looks like there has been a dispute regarding a service call back in July and a $90 charge for that call. Any time we visit a client's home for service there is a minimum $90 repair call which covers up to one hour of diagnostic time. After reviewing our vehicles GPS record, our technician spent approximately 25 minutes on site for the repair you scheduled with us, but had already repaired yourself by the time we came out for the scheduled call. A call to our office to cancel the appointment you had previously scheduled with us would have avoided you our $90 repair visit. Per notes from the technician they ran through all of the zones on site and you also requested us return for an RPZ certification which was completed on 7-12. I do apologize for any confusion or misunderstanding you may have on the situation.
