Car got towed to their shop by shear luck! Woman in the office was super nice and after explaining I hadn't brought cash for tow, arranged one of their drivers to take me to the ATM. Even though they typically don't do full engine repairs, the lead mechanic researched and had a quote for me in his words, "just to try and help out" before I could even look! Top notch service! Shout out to the "rockstar" driver who gave me a ride! Service: Engine repair

I'm a Disability Advocate who helps myself & others advocate for the needs & legal rights of people with disabilities. I setup a tow through my insurance's roadside assistance. When assigned to this company I called asking if the tow truck driver could please wear a mask while I'll also wear a mask. I've asked the same when I had my car towed another time by another company & they easily agreed. The lady said it's up to the driver. I explained I have a disability & a weakened immune system, even being fully vaccinated I need this because I'm more likely to not survive if I get covid19, it's also flu season & more. I also explained my family who work in the medical field & I all  ask providers this & it's never been a problem. Then she said some of the drivers have COPD, I also have breathing problems. Then she said well they may not have a mask. I told her no problem, I have masks that are unopened & individually wrapped that I'll give them. Then she said if the driver wants to & if they don't I can cancel my request & reschedule until I get a driver who is willing to wear a mask. I asked to speak with a manager & she said they were busy. I repeated what she said for clarity verifying I correctly understood & I did & I said ok, I'm just trying to work together as a team. As soon as I hung up the phone I receive a text message saying they declined my service. I called to talk to a manager & all of my phone numbers were blocked. I cancelled my request & setup a new tow truck request. I was assigned to this same company & then they cancelled my request. My request was not unreasonable & I didn't deserve this. So my car couldn't get towed this day because it took very long & my insurance didn't find another tow service provider. The issue was resolved by the end of the call. No one should have to put their health and/or life on the line for a simple tow. I've worked in customer service along with management positions for major companies, so I know adaptations can be made. I don't know if this was about control or ego or what, I was just advocating for myself with respect. Advocating is not arguing nor negative in any way, it's problem solving & teamwork.
