I want to share the disappointing experience we had when leaving our trailer and two jet skis in the care of Extra Space Storage on 441. For over 10 months, we trusted this facility to store our two jet skis. As evidenced by the photos, we secured our jet skis with wheel locks and an additional hitch lock. However, all our precautions were in vain when last Thursday, February 29, 2024, upon arriving at the storage facility, we discovered that the jet skis were no longer there! They had been stolen! They are 2018 Yamaha VX 1800 models, one blue with white and the other gray with white. The thieves had plenty of time to cut the locks, hitch the jet skis, and take them away. I attach photos showing the locks cut with evident force.
Fortunately, we have insurance with Progressive, but the storage company refuses to take responsibility for the theft and refuses to show us surveillance footage to help identify the perpetrators and understand how they managed to remove the jet skis from the premises, despite the numerous additional security measures we implemented. They claim they are only willing to show the recordings to the police. Additionally, we observed suspicious individuals leaving the premises on foot in previous months, suggesting possible unauthorized access to the facilities.
The security measures of this company are clearly deficient, which is completely unacceptable.
