The care was adequate here, no real meal choice no real activities for them other than watching tv. I just moved my father from here. He is already much happier at his new care facility. I partly blame myself for not doing more homework being the first time I had to go through this I just moved to quickly. I highly recommend doing your research on facilities. There are a lot of choices out there with a lot more activities than more choices for meals and more options for care and amenities. If you can avoid rushing please do your homework and research. Take tours, you owe it to your loved one. This is never an easy time for you or your loved one good luck and please take care and try and make the best choice for your family.

I was so comfortable with this place. I had my mother there at least three times to recover from and illness or accident. She stayed at the McClelland home twice - which was my favorite. They had a big grand piano in the front room and my mother would plan for the other residents. The rooms and bathrooms were lovely - granite countertops, vaulted ceilings -- it feels much more like a home than a facility. The owner Jennifer, is amazing as well. She's a nurse and was really helpful when mother was ill. I still called her several times for advice on mother even when she wasn't there. In the end I was able to get care for my mother in her own home, but before we got to that point, Emerald Groves was a great place for mom to heal and get her strength back, so she could go back home.
