image Living here almost three years I have really seen this apartment complex take a turn. After a name change and numerous changes in ownership, I have given notice and forfeit this fight of a livable living space. A veteran, a working citizen cant get an answer, a call or email back in regards to maintenance concerns and roach infestation. As someone that works extremely hard to be to afford over 1400 a month in rent, I expect to live decent. I have made complaint s over and over and still no resolution. Office has an extreme turnover rate which is why building rapport with the on-site team is impossible. As a current tenant, dont move here. I have been putting in requests for months and still unanswered. As to why I have decided to write this today.
As RPM Living took over, this has been the worst experience in my life. The lack of accountability of office staff including Erika Varela and Guy Vital is vital to the decline in the overall community and upkeep of property. The slow maintenance responds leads to bigger issues. They close out maintenance request without completing any task. If your thinking about moving there, stop by and actually talk to residents that live there currently. Believe me, its a reason why they are giving away months of free rent just to lure people in. Erika makes false promises and have a lack of concern for residents and should not be in a customer service position. Oh, and they are infested with roaches.

image Tides at Mesa is horrible Apartment.I do not recommend. I advise you to go somewhere else.
The apartment manager said that my apartment needed new vinyl baseboard since it was falling apart. I was promised that they would put new ones in there and fix it. After one month I moved in I was ignored. I kept telling them , I reminded them that it needs to be fixed because it looks messy and does not suit my needs since I was already paying rent. I was told that a work order was put in. After 2 months later nothing was done, maintenance did not do anything and when I asked what is going on. There was no work order so they did not do anything.
Another issue I had is that I noticed there was cockroaches. I put some poison and it seemed to work but then they multiplied. I kept the apartment clean I also cleaned behind the refrigerator the stove and cabinet. I also told maintenance and they took a while to get someone they sprayed but then it got worse and multiple. I kept telling them and nothing was done. This was so frustrating and disgusting I found out they were coming from the cracks and there was an issue an infestation not just my apartment but multiple apartments. No one did anything after I told them multiple times. I was so fed up and on top of that neighbors left their trash and never picked it up and they put it on my side. It was such a mess and every time they opened their door the smell was horrible so my guess is that cockroachs started at the apartment and invested my apartment.
Horrible customer service, maintenance doesnt do their job, all they want is money and nothing was done. Btw I was in apt 264. Do not go there. Do not waste your money here. Its not worth it.
People leaving their trash and not picking it is unacceptable living.

image I wish I could give this negative review, but I at least have to do one star so I can post this. I lived at this apartment complex for four years. This is probably the worst apartment complex I have ever been in and especially since the new manager Carmen has took over. She does not help you with anything at all. She will blame everything on you. This apartment complex is infested with roaches and Carmen will tell you that its your fault and you brought them in. There was an incident Where my Downstairs Neighbor had a leak from her bathroom, her roofless leaking so plumbing had came into my house every every day for a month and they wouldnt show at reasonable hours. They would show up at 9 PM, 10 PM and I have work and my boyfriend works the night shift and I told him he sleeps during the day but they did not care they still came. My online portal was not working. She would tell me repeatedly that they do not take money orders anymore she took me to court. I told the judge the judge told me to make an arrangement with my landlord. I tried to do that with Carmen. She was never helping me trying to fix the online portal, I would email I would call every day. They are horrible at answering the phones at the office and I worked from 10 AM to 8 PM and they dont open until 10 and they close at six. Shes very rude. She always has attitude and being a landlord I feel like you have to have good customer service which she does not. I asked her to have my apartment sprayed then I told her that I wanted to reschedule the spray for the following week. She made them show up the day that I told her not to have them come and they never came the following week. Overall, this is the worst apartment complex to live in.

image Unsafe and unhabitable living conditions! I have expressed for the last 3 and a half weeks that I am unsafe in my apartment and that I have slipped because of a serious leak. They do not care!! Maintenance will come and make the issue worse than it was before. Even after expressing multiple times that what they are doing is not working, they will not fix this out of control leak. Employees will lie straight to your face. Maintenance will lie straight to your face. I have submitted maintenance requests and gone into the office at least once a day and they will not fix the issue. I havent had a working washer for a week and a half. Jessica is unprofessional, rude, dishonest, and overall a horrible manager. She will NOT fix the issue and also REFUSED to give me corporates number. I have written and verbally expressed more times than I can count that by law because my safety is at risk they had FIVE days to fix my ac from pouring water. It has been 9 days since my last maintenance request regarding this matter. On Monday one of the employees said that if maintenance wasnt here by 3 to go the office, so I went in and maintenance said I needed to schedule an appointment, so I scheduled one for Tuesday. Maintenance never came per usual. They ignored my maintenance request for a week, then proceeded to lie to my face. This place DOES NOT CARE about your safety, health, or comfortability!!!!!
Since leaving a review seems to be the only efficient thing to do, it only took them a month and a half to fix my ac, and they left me with a beautiful gaping hole in my ceiling! Of course they said someone would be back the next day to fix that and as expected that never happened! Im so glad that it took a month and a half when by law you had five days to fix it and proceeded to leave me with a beautiful view into the walls! It has been 3 weeks since I submitted my first maintenance request that my washer is broken. I have submitted countless maintenance requests since then and gone into the office at least once a day. EVERY single employee that works here is a liar! They tell me maintenance will be in on said day and maintenance never comes, I go into the office and their excuse every time is that they have a huge stack of maintenance requests, last time I checked that had NOTHING to do with me. By Arizona state law they had 10 days after submitting my maintenance request to solve the issue. Might I add that the reason I chose THIS apartment was because of the washer and dryer, so Im so glad that for half of my residence I have been without the ONE thing that made me pick Tides at Mesa. Today upon many days I was told maintenance would be in to fix my washer and when I went in the office I was referred to bob the
builder, this was extremely unprofessional and not funny at all. I was told by one of the employees that there was nothing he could do except for send an email which he has supposedly been doing for the last three weeks. My time is extremely valuable and I am DONE playing games with this complex. Im so glad that I am paying for a washer and dryer that I cant use and Im even more glad that nobody here gives a frick. Ive called corporate countless times and left countless voicemails and have got a hold of no one! Office manager never reached out to me! If you are looking for an apartment that doesnt give a sh*t about you or your time then this is the place for you!!

image 03.19.2014 Update: Still not everything has been resolved, but a new development. The other shoe has dropped.
They don't care if your mail is stolen. My mailbox is been broken into at least twice now. Items delivered to that mailbox has been used to commit fraud. Law Enforcement will be informed and charges will be pursued.
People's mail is thrown all over the place. The lighting is horrible. No camera's, so you can't see who's breaking into mailboxes. No outgoing mailbox nor even a box specifically for return to sender.
If you enjoy pot heads smoking skunk weed and cigarette butts all over the place, then this is the place for you. If you enjoy your mail being stolen, and your identity being stolen too, then this is the place for you. If you enjoy waiting for things to be fixed, then this is the place for you. If you enjoy not having any kind of privacy, then this is the place for you.
02.06.2024 Originally review: Honestly, continuing to wait for the next shoe to drop. Not sure where to start be honest on this review. Too many negatives overcome the very few positives that I've encountered so far in the 3 months that I've lived here. I expected RPM Living to be a much better property management company than others out there. I've tried to continue giving RPM Living the benefit of the doubt since they took over management less than a year ago, but I'm getting tired of this. I haven't completely unpacked and probably won't either. Plan to move out once lease is up.
If you enjoy finding unpleasant surprises when moving into your apartment, then this place is for you. I was in my 1st unit for 3 days before having to move into another one. I picked the unit I had for specific reasons which included being a East facing unit.
1st unit issues all when moving into unit. No dishwasher, Breaking box having arcs and sparks, couldn't use the fridge. I don't know if the washer/dryer even worked. Left apartments the 2nd night due to electrical issues and had to get a hotel. Management wouldn't reimburse for hotel and still hasn't even though landlords have to provide hotel arrangements and pay for them when their renter cannot stay in the unit per Arizona state landlord renter laws.
Management said they were upgrading me to a newer unit and they would be losing $2400 by having me pay the non-renovated rate, but I feel like I was shafted, and continue being shafted with this whole thing. They would not pay for my moving expenses, because they were already losing $2400. As the saying goes, "Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part".
They upgraded me to a "renovated" unit that is not 100% renovated. They told me it's a renovated unit, but several things I know for sure are not and/or missing the items that are listed to be in the renovated units which I've seen in a unit that's next to me that's been renovated.
2nd unit issues all when moving in. Broken locks on windows, lighting on the porch was busted. Lighting at the front was not working and seemed to be that way for a long time. Other units are similar to this and still are. Still having issues with clothes dryer.
Less than two months in the water heater piping busted and had no water for at least 12hrs starting Friday evening. Was not given the option for a hotel and was told that we could use the apartment unit next to us was being renovated. The bathrooms in the under renovation were complete wrecks. I couldn't take a shower as the bathroom was full of construction material.
The now being deeper into the complex it takes a lot longer getting in/out of complex due to only having 2 entrances for more than 400 apartment units. They have stated they have no plans to open the 3 gates that are locked either.
Arizona landlord renters rights state that the landlord has 10 days to fix things and that's obviously not being done. Hope others don't have the issues I've had, but beware when you move in.
