Dan Chapman with Active Tax and Accounting is a crook. I believe he fraudulently filed our 2020 taxes, then lied about it. The fraudulent return had all of our correct information (including our newborns SS#). Dan Chapman was the ONLY person who had this information. He included a charitable donation of 24k, which was then flagged by the IRS. Dan then proceeded to say we were dealing with identity theft and really needed his help. He then decided that it was my toddlers SS# who was compromised. The lies just never ended. I am still dealing with the repercussions from this disaster a year later. DO NOT trust this individual or business with your personal information. Please check the Oregon Board of Accountancy to see his previously terminated license and disciplinary action taken against current licenses (both business and individual).
