image My very first bank account at 16yrs old. When it was easy to work without a permit. My Mom set up a joint bank account between her and I. With the Wellington branch. I had a work release class at Osborne High School. I got off early to help my mother take care of my brothers because I could drive and she was on CHEMO...This particular branch recognizes me as family; They know it's me when I pull up in the drive through.

image Worst customer service ever. Please do not bother with the generic reply like the ones I saw below- that's a bunch of hot air, and working in the hospitality industry where we actually care and take care of people, your lip service is not appreciated. Actions speak louder.  6/18/2017- my 18 year old daughter who has made at least over 100 ATM deposits for me goes to our local branch in Manassas Va (Dumfries Rd.) and deposits a check for $280.00 and cash in the amount of $560.00.  When she deposits the cash a message pops up reading " Sorry, we have retained your cash" so Monday I log in and I see the check pending and no cash.  I immediately call the bank, it is around 4:15 - I have to explain this issue twice before the individual who identified herself as Nyla, or Nala (not sure of the spelling says) you need to come into the bank tomorrow.  I say "I can come right now" she says " ah, yes but we close at 5:00"  obviously she is feeling inconvenienced, mistake #1.   I show up- no one in line- 2 managers are in the office talking.  I speak to the teller - Calita she says, " you'll have to have a seat".  She goes to the office interrupts their conversation- they are whispering but I can hear every word and it is CLEAR that they think this is MY error, and I hear Nyla/Nala say "she doesn't even know how much money she deposited"...Excuse me????  So I say " I do know how much it is and I told you on the phone, $280 check, and $560 cash"   Calita then comes over with a post it note takes my name and says " I will call you tomorrow" and by 2PM no call - so I call there and when Calita gets on the phone she says "I was just going to call yo" total bs.  So basically I get the ruin around, I am told all they can do since they do not operate their ATM is file a claim with them to the company that does and that is basically all, not that it will be resolved, no I'm sorry, no let's see if I can call them to expedite this. This is totally outrageous.  I am then told it may take 10 business days for them to investigate, becasue no deposit shows in their system. So basically insinuating I am a liar.  I have been with this bank for over 10 years and in the last 3 there have been a few MAJOR issues much like this one. Whether a deposit shows or not the damn security camera can show the transactions my daughter made, that does not take 10 days.  I ran hotel security it takes 30 minutes at best to roll back tapes.  Also I guess this means deposits you make in the ATM only get handled every 10 business days???, BS.  They just don't care to fix this.  I am going on vacation in two days for a week, and I feel strongly that this issue will not get rectified or that they will try to say that the money never existed becasue that is apparently how they treat a 10+ year customer.  Well BBT ok- so what I am doing to take action- contacting the FDIC to report unethical practices, better business bureau- same, the local police office as anything over $200 is in effect grand larceny, so you do your little bs action, and on my end I will follow up with more aggressive action to include detailing this as I have here on other   social media- yelp, google, I plan to hit them all, because you are not going to STEAL $560 of my money without repercussion, and if you want to blame the ATM company as you did, then I will file against them as well.  All Point is the company that services your ATM machines.  The error message received as per their own website is a software error, and the deposit will not get recorded as such.  Big banks- all the same- crappy service, you don't care, lazy staff and it is why you are one of the worst rated banks on the internet!!
