Teacher Megan is the best thing that has happened to my son and me. Navigating Birth 23 and different programs was not the best experience for me, until Megan arrived to change everything and show me that there are professionals who are truly committed to the best well-being of children and their families. I am very grateful for everything you are doing for my baby and me, your dedication is incredible, you are there for us at all times. There are no words to describe Master Megan's work and my gratitude to her. Birth 23 must work hard to make all agencies and employees work like she does.
On the other hand, I share that related services for infants and minors are not being appropriated by medical clinics, which is why it is very important that Birth 23 once again provide SPL, OT and physical therapy directly, I hope this wonderful agency advocates for this. Because there is no early intervention if there are no effective and dignified direct services for children with disabilities.
Last but not least, I wish Birth 23 can comply with everything established by IDEA part C to provide AT and high cost sensory items in cases necessary to help infants because apparently there are no funds to provide this to children for part of the Birth 23 funds. I requested a $220.00 sensory swing that helps my baby regulate but they denied it and the teacher Megan looked for another alternative to supply it because she is always giving 1000%. I hope they can acquire the necessary funds to provide this type of AT that greatly helps children with Autism.
I can't forget to say that KidStep has been providing me with adequate in-person interpretation ever since teacher Megan came. I am very grateful for that because it is very important to have appropriate and in-person interpretation in these processes.
