Went for a viewing and the racist leasing agent tried to deter me from renting. On top of that he tried to insinuate I didn't have the money to rent. Maybe you should have more people of color as your leasing agents and you can avoid people who will type cast you based on the color of your skin.

I toured this property less than two weeks ago and strongly expressed my interest yet no one ever followed up;
However, prior to my arrival I received more than enough reminders regarding my appointment date and time. My credit is excellent and salary is six figures so I questioned what could have made the difference and I am skeptical to think is there a quota for a certain amount of ethnicities. When you dont have the facts you are left to skepticism so my only option is to contact U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
Office of Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity to further look into my concern.
I love to address concerns of this nature because I totally despise discrimination and I am not afraid to combat it. Its why I chose my career as you can never judge a book by its cover.
