I love to donate donating for me is my way to give back to be turned away from donating because I brought my disabled mother I watch is unheard of if there is such a dire need for blood products why turn away a donor Long Beach Red cross is a joke and if there was such a dire need why turn away a donor.

Hey if you want to feel like your helping and making a difference I suggest you give blood platelets or plasma don't waste time doing a lukea pact for the red cross as all they do is use you your only valuable to them when they need you when they don't they cast you aside till it suits them they don't care so apparently these donations are not as important as they say so please don't fall for the lies they try to spin

Staff are friendly and helpful. Ive been donating platelets for many years and they are friendly. God Blessed them.

When I arrived at this location last week , these white young dudes were assisted me for checking in. After check up with my blood and everything before donate my blood. One nurse said, I cant donate blood because I didnt eat anything and it was my midterm. These white young dudes , they didnt assist me to reschedule my next appointment but the he said, the iPad was low at. Kinda rude at me as well and I have do it on the app. Thats so rude at all.
Then today and this is second time, again. Same , the check in is ok and they checked my blood which is fine and the nurse who is assigned me to for check up did not tell me that your blood is not ok and I can reschedule you again in two week weeks. She just go to other people and asist them. Then the white young dudes are talking about me and laughing at me because these nurse didnt call my name to assist or do reschedule.
I have been donating blood for long time but this Long Beach chapter needs to improve their work to help people and should be not disrespecting one another ethnicity. these white young dudes should be eliminated by change location to work with people especially for people who have disablities like mild autism or people who are not same race as them.
In addition to this, some nurses must retrain again.
Im disappointed in long beach chapter. I prefer to check other locations to donate blood and analyze people who are working there if these people are nice or not because in this experience. It's really sad to me that I didn't donate anything. I just give 2 star because some nurses didn't assist me well.
Once I come back for third time, I am hoping the employees which are nurse are polite and assist me properly.
Sorry red cross long beach chapter. It's disappointed me
