I have lived at Green Trails Apartments for several years. Ever since Marquette Properties purchased the community it has changed and not for the better. I live in a 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment and pay just under $2,000 a month. What do you get for $2,000 a month? Extremely outdated appliances that youll constantly need to call maintenance on. Youll get all the dog poop you could ever want. Shopping online? Dont expect to receive your packages. They WILL get stolen. Not sure whose brilliant idea it was to put building numbers on one side of the building and not the other but delivery people dont pay attention. Your package will be gone. Trust me. Youll get a pool thats far too small for the size of the community. Children run amok and are unbelievably disrespectful. Granted thats the parents fault but going to the pool is neither relaxing nor enjoyable. You will also get loud obnoxious 20 somethings who go to a local mechanics college who couldnt care less about leaving their fast food garbage and pop/energy cans strewn about the parking lot. Youll get towed if you havent received your current license plate sticker even though youve got proof you purchased it 2 months ago. God forbid you dont park directly between the lines; youll be towed. There is a dog park which is nice for those who have a dog but if you have children you get nothing. No park for them. The landscaping used to be beautiful. Now theres nothing but dirt. Marquette Properties is the epitome of corporate greed. They do not care about tenants. They care about their bank account. Its disgusting. The ONLY positive thing I have to say about it is maintenance is great and youll see them often. Oh, and Im moving out. My new mortgage is less than what I pay here. Putting lipstick on a pig doesnt make the pig any less a pig. One more thing to management.your emails telling people to cleanup after their pets isnt working. Sorry. But youd know that if you actually cared.

We moved to this property in 2020 and fell in love with the community as we are a new family in the area. However, since changing ownership to Marquette Management, I have seen a decline in the upkeep of the property, while new management continues to implement new policies that are not consistently followed. First, there is no accountability for dog owners to curb their pet. The property is LITTERED with dog feces as pet owners refuse to simply pick up after their dog. Management has done nothing (outside of sending emails) to ensure accountability for pet owners. Second, theres an unbalanced interest in providing a dog park for pet owners, when theres no progress towards creating a park for actual children to safely play. During the warmer months, children consistently play by and in the streets where it is undoubtedly unsafe. Management is aware of the safety risks, however they opt to send emails instead of providing a tangible solution: a childs park. Thirdly, there is a new parking policy in place where management will look to tow any vehicle that they deem unfit to have on the property that is included, but not limited to vehicles with expired tags. On the first day of this policy being enforced my fianc had his car towed. However ,
management left approximately 10 other vehicles in the parking lot that were also displaying expired tags. They were not removed from the property. Although management informed everyone of the policy change, they neglectfully did not inform residents of how or who they can contact to retrieve their vehicle. I strongly believe it is poor business practice to establish a policy and not enforce it consistently. It looks as if cars are singled out and if thats not the case, then there needs to be something to rectify how they go about towing cars off the property. Management has provided email after email but has failed to provide the proper follow-up and information needed to make sure individuals who work can actually retrieve their vehicle. Lastly, there has been a new digital platform required to pay rent. I believe this excludes individuals who are not comfortable with providing payment over a digital platform and not offering an option to provide in physical payments (cashiers checks, money orders). Im saddened by the lack of thorough communication, preparation, and inadequate information provided by the new management in an effort to create a living experience that will ultimately cost more money.
