The pictures on internet are much nicer than in person. We had reservations for 3 weeks. A small cabin with a hot tub on the deck and an ocean view. We arrived at 1 pm hoping to check in. We were informed our room wouldnt be ready until exactly 4 pm. Which is a ridiculously late check in time to begin with coupled with a 10 am check out time. We leave and come back it 350 pm. Now we are told our room still isnt ready and now we find it is not because it has to be cleaned. Rather the roof is leaking and they arent done fixing it yet. Maybe in 20 more minutes. So we wait 30 more minutes go back and are informed still not ready. So now we ask for refund we are out. We are told non refundable. Even though us not getting the room on time is nonfault of our own. Of course after conversation desk girl calls higher up and suprise all of a sudden they can refund our money. Buuuut. It will take a week to 10 days. We asked about a rate reduction first. No way possible. Not one sorry is there anything I can do to help. I would never stay here and it would recommend anyone I know bypass all of their properties as their business practices stink. I only gave one star because zero is not an option.

We drive 8 hours to see the ocean and stayed our one night here. Property and room was beautiful, however there was some sort of flooding from above that flooded our own room. All of our luggage, homes, and computer cords got wet. We alerted the front desk as soon as we discovered the flooding. We spent our time drying our things and had to walk in shies due to inches of standing water. We were offered a 50% discount on our room, however expected a full refund as half our stay was spend drying and cleaning up our things. The assistant manager did offer us a gift certificate for a future stay however I explained that we live 8 hours away. After repeated requests, we were still denied a refund. As a business owner myself, this is pretty surprising to not be moved to a different room or given a refund. If we lived closer we would have just driven home. We took video of water actively pouring in the room, however it won't upload on Google. I feel like my only power here is to make reviews. So frustrated that our one stay here ended like this.
Edit: the general manager got involved amd they actually went to see the damage and realized how severe it was. The assistant manager called to apologize for how she handled it and to give us a full refund. While I do appreciate it, it was a few hours of stress we didn't need. By reading reviews, it sounds like management has changed over quite a bit. Sounds like they need better training/hires. Hopefully this was used as a learning experience.

Day one after check-in there was an odor in the bathroom and fecal spatter on the toilet seat and in the toilet. I made staff aware, toilet remained unclean. Check in staff were unprofessional, rude and demeaning. Interactions with employee was filled with macro-aggressions. Employee refused to provide fresh towels (4 wash cloths) for a three day stay, requesting I bring down used towels, didn’t provide a plastic bag for me to bring the towels down to the lobby. In addition one of the coffee cups was used, during the same request I requested replacement cups and was also was asked to bring down the dirty cup(s). I have stayed at this hotel several times over a two year period and within the pandemic. I was not informed of what appears to be a policy, otherwise why would a paying guest be requested to bring down soiled laundry and cups that should’ve been clean to begin with? Is it a common practice to ask or question guests about previous linen requests and unaccommodating of what should be a given? In addition the original room booked was not available when we reached the hotel, this too is a common theme, not to refund cancellations and honor original reservations. Level of service and guest treatment is unacceptable.
