IAF, led by Michael LaSovage, was my parents’ advisor for several decades. He may have been lucky with growing their portfolio, likely because of the old adage, “a rising tide lifts all boats”. However, now in his role as the family “Trust Advisor” after the demise of my parents, he has overstepped his credentials by acting as an attorney when he is not member of the Bar in state where Trust is located. He has been condescending in a way which borders on sexism, has used threatening language and has used delay tactics that have likely cost the Trust extra monies which may end up in his pocket. He hasn’t provided requested information nor does he respond to such requests though beneficiaries have the right to it. As well he has shared private information without consent. As a result of all of the above, the majority of the family have moved their investments from him.
