We would definitely recommend Brookdale Lenoir and have already. The staff of a facility is what makes or breaks it and the staff here from the director all the way down takes care of these residents like it was their loved one or family member. I will forever be grateful to this group of people for their care of our mother.

My mother has been at Brookdale for about 2 1/2 years. She has been very happy with her room as well as the activities available for them to participate in. The staff has always been exceptionally nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Lenoir for their Assisted Living program. I have talked with several people whose loved ones have been residents of Brookdale Lenoir and they have had only good things to say.

The staff at Brookdale Lenoir work very hard to make the residents comfortable and happy. They are also very welcoming and responsive to family members and friends of residents. I feel that my father is safe and well taken care of there.

My mother lived here for about 2 years. Initially things went well but once she actually needed some assistance with self care many of the aids were rude and too rushed to be kind. Some actually made fun of the residents behind their backs. Communication between the care coordinators and med techs was terrible, the administrator's primary focus was on money and the floors, bathrooms and laundry room was filthy. Before I moved Mom out I was afraid to leave her and stayed 10 hours a day to make sure she was cared for. There were a few caring employees, but way too few.

Our parents have been at Brookdale Lenoir since 3/2019. While it has not always been an easy transition for my mom (who is very independant) it has truly been a blessing for our family. My dad has Parkenson's and Dementia and the move to Brookdale has allowed them to stay together while he is receiving complete care from Brookdale. The staff is amazing and recognizes the needs my mom has to stay busy and to feel like she is needed. We know without a doubt that my dad is being taken care of and there is no concern at all about abuse of the elderly at this facility from our family anyways. The quarantine has been especially difficult for our elderly and Brookdale has done an outstanding job keeping their residents and staff healthy while following guidelines set to keep all there safe. We have found the staff loving, helpful and caring towards not only the residents but also the families of their residents. While no facility is perfect (including Brookdale), we are thankful that if we come across an issue there, we will be listened to and for the most part the issue will be addressed. Our main issue seems to occur on the weekends when the lack of activities seems to put my mom's depression in a downhill spiral but I would think that is the case of most facilities. We are thankful for the care and love bestowed to our parents by the staff there and highly recommend this facility to other families looking for a loving place to put their elderly.
