Ridiculous prices! All the way through the house. $150 for bicycle with flat tires. Not one person working said hello and they didnt get a dollar from me

My experience with Summit Estate Sales is that they really inflate prices! I went to an Estate Sale in Gladstone and everything of interest was extremely overpriced! Example: an aluminum painted bench down to the metal $150 for it. An old concrete statue they wanted $1200 for. Extremely heavy and fragile. Two Byers Choice dolls $150! No original box or tags. $500 for some ugly rusted outdoor candle stand. $900 for a lamp!!! You can find most of this for a fraction of the cost online. We were looking at the jewelry counter and the employee who was supposed to be helping the in personcustomers was apparently on the phone with an offsite buyer with his back away from us. He mentioned to the caller that someone in Poland purchased the figurine he was interested in? Could this phonie phone call wait until after the sale? Maybe this company can be a little more transparent in how they conduct business? While I was there at the sale the first day my husband went to inquire about a price on a figurine. The lady in the sunroom pricing items didnt feel like our time was very important so at that point we walked out without making a purchase. They do have a tiered sale each day, but even at 50%-70% off they are still overpriced! Its really sad and in my opinion a disservice to all their customers including the seller. We witnessed others who had many of the same comments. Many walked away empty handed. Makes me wonder what they do with all of the overpriced items no one can afford? Possibly a family side business of buying out the overpriced Estate Sale and then reselling in a store front or auction? I would assume that would be more lucrative. Maybe more incentive not to sell? Why else would a company not price items more competitively? After all thats a lot of time and work to clean and price everything. I cant seem to make sense out of any of it. Ive been to my share of estate sales this company just outright gauges the consumer. I gave them 2 stars because I was able to walk through and view the items I later bought online. It was fun to see almost everything in pictures still there for viewing by the time we got there late morning . No need to stand in line to wait for doors to open unless you are one of those people who enjoy over paying. Most of us go to sales for a good bargain not the psychological sale prices being offered on a grossly overpriced item in the first place. This company doesnt seem to care about the inconvenience of their customers when it comes to gas prices and other expenses it takes to attend their sales. Plenty of other affordable Estate liquidators elsewhere. Find the ones that better suite your interest.

There are better estate sale companies in Kansas City, but not many. The owner is professional and does his best to price items so that they will sell.
