Over the past year, I attended several of the Chamber's luncheons, which are held on the fourth Thursday of the month at Gold Coast Hotel & Casino. They are open to the public for $45, which includes a business mixer, a buffet lunch, and a guest speaker. Many of the speakers were informative and engaging. They included: the Attorney General of Nevada; the Superintendent of Clark County School District; and the President of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
Last May, I also attended the annual Scholarship Dinner. The Chamber awarded scholarships to several high school seniors, who boasted extremely impressive resumes. The majority of the recipients were valedictorians and active community members.
