Jardin means garden. This is not meant to be a public park with facilities. It is a garden gateway to one of the oldest neighborhoods in Las Cruces. It is a place meant for sitting awhile and enjoying the art and history of the Mesquite historic district. If your looking for a park go to Young Park. The art work in this jardin was taken from original pictures from founders and residents of the area. One the pictures is my grandparents and St. Genevieve's Church which was demolished during the Urban Renewal period of the downtown area. Beautiful garden with the history of Las Cruces.
