Small school but has great support from a wonderful church nearby. You don't need to be SDA or religious to take your kids there. The teacher, Samantha, is awesome. She's young but you can really see the dedication, focus and love for her kids. They WILL definitely learn well from her!

This rating (5 star) APPLIES FOR SAMANTHA MACIAS AND NOT THE SCHOOL OVERALL!!!Samantha Macias SHOULD get a raise!!!! I've worked in education since 1988 and up to the present and her dedication goes above and beyond!!! Her modest salary is being used to always purchase materials for her class, her students EVERY year in order to expand her lessons! It ISNT fair that these teachers have to prepare curriculum for 3-4 grade levels all in one classroom and Mrs. Macias is successfully doing that! She can't even take a proper lunch break due to lack of staff when supervising students during their lunch hour, etc and that is ILLEGAL and just wrong!!! Don't take advantage of good, loyal, hard working teachers bc they can easily go elsewhere where lunch breaks are mandatory, pensions are in place, great benefits, etc!!! APPRECIATE YOUR TEACHERS AND OFFER THEM MORE INCENTIVES FOR STAYING!!!!!!!!

This is an awesome Christian-based K-8th grade school.  It is small enough to have one on one connections with the teachers, and large enough to have teams in the various Christian sports leagues.  In fact, the football, basketball and volleyball teams have taken numerous trophies over the years.  My three students have been here ongoing for 16 years, oldest to youngest.  My son is currently in college in Lincoln, NE, and was the recipient of several academic scholarships.  I attribute AVAS as laying a firm and solid academic foundation for my son.  I also greatly appreciate the strong morale values that have been reiterated through the years.  I believe in the education system at Antelope Valley Adventist School.

My kids have and continue to receive a well-rounded education. We are grateful for the dedicated and highly trained staff; our kids have excelled even when their personal struggles have ensued. I wholeheartedly recommend this fabulous K-8 grade school. Small class sizes lead to a very positive intimate learning experience.
