Horrid Grooming Experience!

If I could rate this mobile grooming service at 0, I would. Our 13-yr.-old female Samoyed, Kiska, received horrid mobile grooming today (11-29-2016), in which the mobile groomer not only increased her pricing from scheduling to finish; but also harmfully injured our dog and did not bother to tell us. We have pictures to document all. Scheduled for a complete bath & total grooming (including ear cleaning, pad trim, expression of anal glands, thorough dry & blowout, as well as brushing). We even insisted the groomer use our dog shampoo, due to our dog's allergies, which she argued about. I had to knock on the door twice, to ask if our dog was OK, as our dog was yelping and in seeming pain, Sheila Murphy insisted she was OK and promptly shut the door. I should have removed my dog then and there, but tried to trust she would be competent to finish the job. She was not. Our dog was returned by this groomer limping, with bloody nails that had been cut down past the absolute quick. The groomer stated nothing to us about our dog being injured, at any time. Upon examination after the groomer left, we discovered all of our dog's injuries incurred through this groomer. Sheila later admitted knowing of this injury (when confronted via telephone). Our dog, Kiska, still had a wet undercoat (not dried), a wet tail and face, as well as extremely wet legs/paws. Her coat had not even been brushed out at all; and no trimming of her paw/pad hair had been done at all. Her rear area was still matted and dirty. Her paws and legs, up to her elbows, were still stained and dirty. Upon return of our dog, Sheila insisted her price had changed from $45.00 (quoted last week and today, prior to grooming) to now, $55.00, claiming she had not "seen her before." This was a definite bait and switch. Kiska, was shaking, extremely distressed, panting heavily, and very upset. (She has been a service dog and show groomed for 13 yrs., without any of these signs after grooming.) Upon taking our dog to the dog park to relieve herself post grooming, our poor dog could not even defecate normally, without crying and yelping, as she was so sore from having her anal glands expressed. After checking her rear end, we discovered Kiska was now anally bleeding, from what appears to have been exceptionally rough treatment by the groomer. She had none of these symptoms, prior to grooming, We are taking her to the vet, to further document all injury. I attempted to resolve these issues with this groomer. Her response was to admit she injured one of the nail quicks on our dog (even though there were several quicks bleeding); but quickly became extremely defensive, when asked for a refund and an explanation as to why she had not informed us of the injuries to our Samoyed. Her response was to say, "It wasn't important." She further stated, "I don't know what your problem is, lady," and hung up on me. She refused to resolve anything with us, as her customer; much less to take responsibility for injuring our dog. We are requesting an immediate & complete refund of $55.00, full coverage of any vet bill expenses for our injured dog, and a discontinuance of this person being able to continue to advertise through the BBB for her mobile grooming services; which have caused direct injury and trauma to our 13-yr. old dog. Sheila Murphy has done nothing as a BBB member to resolve these injuries, or to even inform us of such. We would never recommend this mobile grooming service, or groomer to anyone! She has shown a complete lack of professionalism, as well as a total disregard for our dog, and for our dog's safety. This was a horribly traumatic experience for our dog, as well as for us, as our dog's owners. Buyer beware.
