Nice little hotel sort of difficult to access without much you can get to by foot. The lobby is awesome and the staff was wonderful
Rooms: The room was awesome clean and comfortable
Walkability: There is not much in walking distance and the access by foot is not too great
Noteworthy details: The lobby is very nice and a great place to relax and watch the fireplace.

Very nice rooms and nice facility overall. The only things I saw that needed updated was the carpeting in the halls, which is wrinkled, frayed, and in desperate need of replacement, and the mattresses, which had a cheap Amazon airbnb cardboard feel to them. No pillowtop, so they were very stiff and transferred every tiny movement to your sleeping partner. Breakfast was well above average, the shower was divine, and the rooms were very very clean.
The major problem we encountered was the pool. It is in dire need of a good shock for cleaning. The water was extremely cloudy and the smell was overwhelming. It also burned our eyes badly. There was a lot of debris underfoot in the pool and the couple of times I dared to drudge up whatever I was walking on, I was met with things like large clumps of hair and bits of plastic. Its a common misconception that burning eyes and a strong smell of chlorine means theres too much chlorine, but its actually the opposite. As chlorine binds with things like nitrogen and ammonia (from human bodies being and, yes, peeing in the pool), it creates a chemical called chloramine. The more chloramine is created, the less free chlorine there is to bind to new contaminants added to the pool over time. The only way to break up the chloramine compounds is to shock the pool (adding 10x the normal amount of chlorine). It is a pretty small pool, so this should be a relatively easy process to create a safer (and hygienic, more importantly) space for guests. Please clean your pool!!
