image I spoke with Jennifer on the phone. Not only was she inconsiderate, it felt as if she wanted to make it difficult for my child to be seen as a new patient at this office. She tried each and every way to attempt to not take my child as a new patient. She was rude, cold, and not empathetic what-so-ever. When your child is sick, its the only thing youre worried about, and Jennifer made me feel good as if she couldnt care less about my sick child.

image I am on the fence about giving this doctor a bad review on yelp. As someone who is an experienced medical healthcare provider myself, leaving critical reviews is not something I would typically do. However, the experience I recently had as a new mother with my infant baby has made me realize the importance of advocating for others when it comes to physicians (and specifically pediatricians) who may not be up to par. I have seen the same doctor for the diagnosis and treatment of this problem 4X. The facility, nurses, and office staff are all incredibly nice and efficient, which is very uncommon for a doctors office; however, the doctor who is treating me I think has some serious issues which need to possibly be watched. After our babys birth I started going to Dr. Glover; he had a welcoming and comforting manner and I felt assured I would receive the type of quality care I was in search of as a new mother with questions and concerns. I first noticed my baby was not sleeping; although he would be tired, the length of time he actually had restful sleep was very short or not at all. My baby was continuously crying, always cranky and seldom happy. I voiced my concern during the first wellness visit but was told there was nothing wrong with him. I soon became extremely exhausted due to his lack of sleep as well as my own; soon after, my milk production went down and it was hard for my baby to be satisfied after feedings. I then began substituting formula for breast milk. After trying several different types of formulas, my infant continued to vomit each one up and would be sick for 2 days. At that point, I scheduled a sick visit with Dr. Glover to discuss these issues. Dr Glover recommended another formula to try. Baby, once again, did not tolerate the formula so I scheduled one more visit; this time I was advised to keep feeding it to him; He will eventually tolerate it. Soon after, my infant began having skin issues; he started breaking out with eczema and rashes. I continued voicing my concerns between the sick and wellness visits; I received the same response each time: The eczema bothers us more than it bothers them, and Its just a drool rash. He will eventually tolerate the formula, or Add breast milk to the formula and keep feeding it to him. The lack of empathy and support shown by Dr. Glover during this difficult time was very disconcerting; I felt Dr. Glover had been extremely negligent of my childs physical and emotional health, as well as my own. After being seen by another pediatrician who listened to me and expressed concern about the neglectful nature of the care I had received from Dr. Glover, I was referred to an allergist. The allergist diagnosed my 4 month old with a milk allergy that was so severe, she felt it was necessary to prescribe an epinephrine pen along with a few other medications. I felt relieved to finally have answers to the issues I had been struggling with for the first 4 months of my babys infancy. I also felt sad that those months could have been very different had I had a pediatrician who had really listened, was knowledgeable enough to understand that not all babies are alike, and had cared enough to figure out the solution to why my baby could not be consoled or comforted from day one. This experience taught me the importance of listening to my own instincts as a mother, refusing to accept answers that did not relieve the problem, and continuing to search for the quality of care and concern in healthcare professionals we should all expect and deserve.
