Got a call two days before check in that our house had a maintenance issue and was unable to be rented. I understand things happen - nothing you can do about that. We tried to work with them to rent another property but what they offered was not comparable to what we originally booked (in our opinion) and they were unwilling to help cover the difference to another property (and instead blamed it on the homeowners). So our choices then became 1) downgrade for the same amount of money or 2) get a refund. We ended up canceling the trip to the huge disappointment of our kids and grandparents. To their credit I am happy we got a full refund. However, any business person understands that sometimes you have to take a loss when you're in the customer service business. In such a unique scenario, especially during non-peak season when it wouldn't have been much money on their end to make it right, I'm very disappointed that profits superseded service.

Booked and deposited our familys Sept 2024 vacation with Joe Lamb. Three weeks later, I could not find the property on their website to show my family. I had to call the Joe Lamb company to find out that the property was no longer in their program!? It has been sent to another company. I received an email from Don Hardy a week later saying he trusts everything will be handled in a courteous and professional manner.
I did not rent this property through another company. I rented it from the company I chose.
Courteous would have been a call explaining what was going on, instead of my having to ask what was happening. Professional would be not renting properties you do not have for the coming season.
No explanation of any of this has been provided. The plain and simple truth is obvious. Their customers are really just confirmation numbers and the money collected. Everything else is just marketing.
